Here's a blog post by them.

With GDAX closed and coinbase an all in one place, we can expect coinbase turning into a standard exchange just like binance with direct USD pair of course. Binance too are looking for it but coinbase with it's american presence (and american restrictions) can be a successful exchange.

Maybe this will be possible, even if I still see binance more like an exchange and CB just a wallet. They will need time to change things I guess. We'll see if this happens, which kind of service they will offer.

They are planning it but they are not supporting each and every ERC20 tokens. So, you need to be very careful on what you send to them.
It's more like an exchange wallet where you only can send the tokens listed on specific address.
It won't replace myetherwallet, it won't replace exchange, it won't replace anything.

Yes that's true, but my point here was more trying to understand the next listed coin ( if there will be one).

Coinbase recently acquired Paradex. Paradex was planning to build an exchange for achieving, in their own words: "Exchange ERC20 tokens using your own wallet". Now that Coinbase bought it, they ceased public opperations but likely Coinbase will be utilizing some of their tech in the near future, either in the background or not. Who knows.

Hi people I was just reading about the new from Coinbase to give support for erc20 tokens.(I know I'm pretty late:))
There is no official announcement of a new coin listing, only support for that kind of coins...but reading around people seems very excited as they think, on the other hand, that a new erc20 token will be listed on the platform.

What you think about it? There will be a new coin on CB?
If yes, which one do you think it's favorite?
