Last night I tried to send 0.2 Ether to my Metamask Wallet, and the transaction never got picked up by the network. 24 hours later, and it's still in limbo. Their excuses made no sense to me, so I went on a quest to figure out what's really going on.

Since I performed the purchase of Ether, using Metamask via Coinbase(first and last time I try that,) I didn't get the option to change the amount of gas, but I've never had a problem with the fee automatically calculated in Coinbase for Ether, so I let it fly, as I'm sure many others have.

The fee was automatically calculated at 0.41, and it's obvious the network is busy as heck, so the average fee is much higher right now. The network doesn't appear to be settling down, either.

What are the odds that I can press Coinbase into rebroadcasting my transaction, using a higher fee? I always leave enough Ether in my account to do this. I've emailed them, and they replied with their usual bs, but I'm curious if anyone has ever known them to rebroadcast in a situation like this?
