I've always been a fan of Revolut myself, but recent events have made me regress in my opinion of some of these neo banks.

The problem with them is that they're effectively the clients of real banks so they'll be double twitchy as they're so desperate to stay in their good books. If they're frozen out of faster payments and providing debit cards they're toast.

They certainly have their uses but I'd never depend on one fully because of that.

Good news for you guys, I guess? I've always been a fan of Revolut myself, but recent events have made me regress in my opinion of some of these neo banks. Friend I referred had his account frozen and that of his referrals, after reaching his withdrawal limit. Ot happened 2 days ago when fresh sanctions were slapped onto his country (Turkey) so the coincidence in timing leads us to suspect something.

So, Coinbase it is now for the UK. There's definitely a lobbyist for them there!

I doubt a lot of exchanges will be able to receive the e-money license from the FCA. I assume now most of the Britains will go to Coinbase because if I remember it's a pain for them to deal with their bank account located in their country. There is probably a crypto lobby in the UK Grin

This is being rolled out for everyone in the coming weeks. For the first time ever Brits can run in and out of a proper exchange within minutes. It's been a long time coming. I wonder whether this will open it up for other services or whether somewhere with Coinbase's weight will be the only one to convince banks.
