I was using Bittrex and decided to jump over to Coinbase to give it a try.

What a mistake. Coinbase is so shitty and generic compared to Bittrex. Coinbase you have ZERO options in regard to buying at a set price or putting in your sell price at higher than the current price.

Bittrex for Example i can put in a BUY order for BTC when it hits $15K and just go about my business and once bought i can put that SELL order in for whatever price i want and walk away.

Coinbase you have 2 shitty options buy or sell right now at the price right now.

Why would anyone use this shitty generic welfare exchange? How is it still in business?
Here comes another ignorant trader

I also have the same problem.
and even to change the cell phone number then we have to kyc first (maybe that's normal). so I now leave coinbase and prefer to trade on other exchanges.
And another one  Grin

You two definitely don't know there is coinbase.com and coinbase pro

About KYC, when you use a centralized exchange that is highly regulated, what else do you expect?

Bittrex is even far worse than coinbase. Ask around people from different countries.

Why is many people reacting as if they don't know that all the centralized exchanges have thier main target to make profit, what else do you expect from them if not to devices those means to achieving that by deducting from all that you've got, i see no reason why we should use it at first place, don't just start with mention all centralized exchanges remains being centralized and nothing fhanged about them as long as they remains in possession of the keys to accessing user's wallet.

It's been a while since I read that word "Bittrex", I'm surprised that anyone still uses Bittrex, I assume OP has used Bittrex this year. I don't use coinbase because it doesn't work in my country, but I think coinbase is better than Bittrex, and when you noticed this inconvenience in coinbase why didn't you create a binance account? because it seems to me that you want to be day trading so it makes more sense to use binance because of the high volume they have

We have the same thoughts here.  Grin I feel that not many users in the forum are still using bittrex. When they started asking KYC, I stopped using bittrex. But then, binance started asking KYC at all levels, so a lot have no choice but to comply. In my case, I feel more confident submitting my KYC to binance as I am a regular user of their services. But bittrex, I have this feeling that they can go down anytime. But that's just my feeling. When it comes to coinbase, I really haven't tried this exchange. Maybe, the OP should try binance or binance.US if he is in the US.

Let me tell you. Coinbase is more trusted than bittrex and that's why many app developers will use coinbase payment system instead of something else. Try Google playstore app that pay bitcoin. Most use coinbase. It is easy to use. You could exchange your earning there with ease. The user interface is not as complex as bittrex. Most people choose simplicity over options.

Are you using coinbase pro? Maybe you are using the basic version of the app which is design for a normal user to quick buy and sell. I never try using coinbase but it’s impossible for a top tier exchange to missed that important feature while the rest of the exchange does that. Bittrex too is now not that good compared to Binance, Okx and Kucoin which has a user friendly interface and almost has the feature you are looking for.

Check the version.

you will find such trading tool using coinbasepro.
If you take a few of your time and search on YouTube or Google, you will find an answer to your answers.

As above, If you are using the basic Coinbase app or Coinbase
Exchange to literally exchange from currency to currency its
fine, if you want to buy/sell/trade you need to use CoinbasePRO.

So yea there are differences, here is a link with the pro's and con's
for both Coinbase's >

I dont use Bittrex but I would say CoinbasePRO would be comparible

They are not a shitty exchange, you just don't get what you are looking for, so the right thing to do is to look for other exchanges that would satisfy your wants and needs. Coinbase is a legit exchange, they have plenty of users and they are regulated, so they are not shitty in general.

It's because you're using the Coinbase as a wallet, they have an exchange just like what you want to exchange and set prices for buying and selling and that's the Coinbase Pro.

Normal Coinbase is made to be easier for the average person as such advanced trading options are not available.

You have to join their advanced trade , for the options most of us are used too,
or just use another exchange that does not have the simpler trading option as their default.
