ive been trying to contact them and they have yet to respond, I dont store my bitcoin with coinbase, i only used it to exchange usd to btc.  And no I have never gambled or anything with my coinbase wallet.
Still no reply from coinbase support. Ive switched to Gemini and I must say they have been great!
That is that. I wouldn't expect to get a response from coinbase support if I were you.
Lately, it's been hard to get even a single response/acknowledgment from them.

Since you got your funds and have moved on to a new exchange, then good for you.
Personally, I don't get people who insist on continuing to use a service that's obviously subpar.

just tried to open a new account with Coinbase and right after i verified my email it took me to a page saying they were closing my account...that i JUST created...  Huh
Coinbase wallet/exchange is highly monitored enviroment. They are tracking and monitoring every transaction, IP, info about their customers.
YOu won't resolve your case asking people here for help, only Conbase support can answer you. What you have to do is read their Tos:
https://www.coinbase.com/legal/user_agreement?locale=en and see if you broke any rules.

Agreed with you. Contacting with support team is now the only way for help. But he said that, the support team can't response her mail. Its a bad news .Many user are using coinbase for theire free transection system . As a exchanger site, their have to more  responsibility about their customers.Shame on coinbase. At least you can replay her mail.

Has this happened to anyone else? Im so confused, have been a loyal customer of theirs for years now and have never had a problem... Then yesterday I sign in to buy some bitcoin and my account has been closed....

Being a loyal is nothing if they see you violating their terms. I have been in Coinbase for 2 years now but only using their service not for storing my coins. If you really think that they harmed you then a statement like that will not help you.

Tell us the whole story and show proofs since Coinbase sometimes taking too long to respond in a query like that so we can share sentiments here about your problem. We are waiting for the complete details.

Ive tried to contact their support now soooo many times and they do not respond at all to me...Its pretty disapointing to see coinbase taking this route. Im thinking of switching to Gemini does anyone have experience with their services?
That is ver bad to hear that their support system do not reply to their customers. I think now is the time to move on to another service but take care about online web wallets as in these wallets you do not have control on your bitcoins. Can I know that for what purpose you need online wallet? With that someone will redirect you to a favorable wallet.

Are you a gambler? Do you make gambling transactions using your coinbase wallet?if your answer were yes,  you make a big mistake. Coinbase is only an exchanger, you can only buy sell coin with the use of coinbase wallet.First read theire FAQ and privacy policy.Hope you will get the answer to your problem. Try to contact with them, solved hope they will solve your issue.

I don't know that why people still believe on coinbase for storing and exchanging their bitcoin as nowadays they have a lot of problems for their customers. Coinbase is known as the paypal of bitcoin as they are also doing the same as paypal was doing with their customers. Now you have to contact to them via their support and have to ask the details to recover your account.

i have tried contacting them multiple times and they have not responded, I have not done anything to violate any of their ToS.  I actually read something this morning about the coinbase co-founder resigning from the company saying something along the lines of "they have created a coinbase mafia?"
link to article: http://linkis.com/TlnzN

i have no idea whats going on at coinbase but was very surprised when i logged in the other day to find my account closed, and then reading this article this morning.

You're not the first. There are already plenty of complaints about coinbase shutting their account. Look it in redit and some decided to post here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=222.0
It's very obvious that most people that experienced this do not follow coinbase TOS. Personally I think it isn't coinbase fault if the customer failed to follow their tos. They have the right to close someones account for violating them. If you think you haven't done anything wrong then contact their support.

Any more information? We don't know the background. At least they should stated the reason why they closed it. Already send an email? If yes then how long are you waiting now for the response? Coinbase issues are present nowadays but some of the complaints are properly not backed up so it's better if you have some sort of proofs or any related thing to that so that the community are aware that in "MOST" of the cases, there are really unusual happening in Coinbase right now.

I think this thread is appropriate in Service Discussion section.
