Coinbase & Ripple ready for IPOs? Who else in Fintech will go IPO?

What do you think? Is this good for the broader crypto market? I'm thinking this maturation of the market helps the space overall.

I don't know if the information is true, but if it's true, then it's a big news for crypto market as a whole. In that case, it will be better to buy Ripple's share instead of buying actual Ripple. Because Ripple is very focused on their business and they are constantly growing their client base around the world. They have been able to bag few commercial banks as their client last year. So Ripple's share is going to provide good return without a doubt. Because Ripple itself is a bad investment due to their operating model (their escrow releases). But the share will be focused on their real-world success in a less manipulative market.

Coinbase, on the other hand, also showing great performance by adding new coins to their portfolio and definitely with their Pro services. If these companies can make it to the stock market, it will definitely bring a lot of eyeballs of wealthy investors towards the crypto market. A major milestone indeed, if it happens!

Coinbase is currently the largest holder of BTC in the world. So I think all their decisions are carefully calculated. Yet from last year's Libra incident, we can't be sure of anything, just hope they don't have any trouble with the authorities, which could create good conditions for the crypto market in the future.

Why ripple is looking for an IPO? I mean the company still owns most of the xrp coins and they can liquidate them as and when required so if they are solely looking to list for the purpose of raising funds then it is not really required while if they have wider intentions like boosting confidemce in their project for real world companies and mass adoption or for fulfdilling requirement of upcoming big partners then it is totally good step.

There's a better grow and exposure for doing that. I think other big exchanges will also the same step as Coinbase has already shown what they are doing. This is now where the traditional investor comes in and will also probably dive in to cryptocurrency market.

Having that said, Coinbase is doing it right IMO. And once they are listed, expect that there will be a bunch of updates and upgrades coming from them. There might be a lot of expansions that have been planned by them already.

Coinbase or any other exchange going public is good move, as they may expand the crypto space even wider. The non crypto users can be attracted towards cryptos.
that will create more publicity for crypto service for the stock investors and i thought that it will bring a lot of positive impact to the crypto ecosystem too as it will make crypto will get more and more investors when these project will be peforming very well.

Many startups raise funds through ICO and IEO, but exchange companies that already exist even want to do an IPO. Why don't they just do an IEO, so that the crypto world is stronger and more trusted by everyone. If they just prefer an IPO as if they do not believe in the world of Crypto which raised them. It's just my personal thoughts that might be wrong, sorry

Bithumb is also preparing for IPO too in south Korea. So many news related to the bithumb has already published and we will know how big the valuation will have gotten by them after IPO.

I the only big question what about the future of crypto investors from ripple itself

Coinbase has now become a huge company and their IPO will probably become a large success and could let so many people know the existence of crypto although it actually has become mainstream already. I still remembered back then when coinbase was just your another bitcoin exchange but now it's significantly different.
Overall I think it's good for crypto market, we can't stuck in the same place for too long after all some people may have different opinion though.

Coinbases has performed very well since 2017. Coinbase IPO on US stock market will be a big boom for cryptocurrency market. I hope to see a new all-time highs of crypto after Coinbase IPO. If it will be successful, Binance could be the next to launch IPO on Hong Kong stock market.

Coinbase, founded in June 2012 by Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam, is a leading cryptocurrency exchange and wallet platform headquartered in San Francisco. As one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges they are said to be preparing to list on the U.S. stock market sometime in early 2021.
Sources speaking to Reuters said Coinbase had already begun the process for a listing; it isn’t clear on which exchange venue this would take place.
Rather than an initial public offering, it’s said the firm would prefer to go down the route of a direct listing on an exchange.
The Securities and Exchange Commission would have to approve Coinbase’s listing application.
Should it be approved, Coinbase would be the first crypto exchange to go public in the U.S.
The company was valued at $8 billion at its last funding round in 2018. Check out the video on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vmw_kLKfPYA
