I am stuck with this.
Can you please post some picture for more specific.
It's not possible to sign a mesage from Coinbase wallet anymore. They removed this feature several months ago.
I am having the same issue with blockchain.info.... I have searched high and nigh online with little success on how to sign messages. apparently, You can sign from messages from very old addresses but not with the new ones. If anyone has an idea please share. It is ironic that they allow message verification, but wont allow messages to be signed.
I never had issue to sign message with imported adrees on blockchain.info, but never tried to do it with new address. It looks quite strange that don't allow to sign message with all address.
I think not months ago that coinbase sign message is not working last year i can't sign a message of every bitcoin address that is why i stop using their service and use it to deal here in forum because some other people they wanted to sign message first before you deal to someone..
I experienced to sign message in coinbase before but after they change the themes of coinbase the sign message is not working anymore i reported them in coinbase but looks like they have no plan to re-enable it back again. .

Blockchain are good wallet but now a days because of  segwitx2 and other fork about bitcoin i think they are not allowed to sign message again for new bitcoin address just for security purposes..

Found this thread from Google. Thought I would help. I was motivated to get this feature working for the Byteball link with bitcoin for their giveaway. After some "hacking" of Coinbase's sign message feature I finally got it to work. It is pretty simple:

- Use chrome (other's would work, but instructions for chrome)
- Go to where you are asked to enter your message to sign.
- right click on the "Sign Message" button and click on inspect.
- look for the "- on that tag you will see an attribute called "action" with a value of "/addresses/xxxxxxxxxxxx" (whatever the number is for you).
- simply double click that address to edit it and add "/sign" after the number to complete the action address.
- that's it. The form will work.

Stupid bug for a site like coinbase imho.

Enjoy!

Damn awesome! You rock. It works and thanks for this!

Just test it also on Firefox and it works there too. Just remember to edit it as an attribute and not as an HTML as I thought HTML editing will do but it's not lol. Want to locked the thread now but it seems it may bit give a help for those who have the same concern so I will keep this opened for a meantime.

It's been a weeks now and still the problem persist and I saw others are having the same experience as well. Last tried just now while currently writing this post and still not working. My co-traders at our usual group chat asking me a signed a message to prove that I still owned the address everytime we are doing transactions because I want them to send funds directly to my other wallet. Sadly, trust isn't enough eventhough Im one of the pioneer of the said group. But I understand them as no permanent friends online especially when big money is involved.

Come on Coinbase what the heck is happening at your Sign Message feature.

Need to signed from an old address for a purpose of a transaction from our local group but Coinbase doesn't allowing me to do it now. I don't know if it's a browser problem or to Coinbase itself. (Note: I tried basic solutions here before I posted this thread)

Ok so here how it goes, I can enter the Sign Message option but the Blue Button to confirm that Im done typing the message is not working. Last tried 10 mins ago but prior to that 4-5 hours ago.
