WORLD TOURISM DAY 27.09.2021
Harnessing innovation and digital advances provides tourism with opportunities to improve inclusiveness, local community empowerment and efficient resource management, amongst other objectives within the wider sustainable development agenda

Yet tourism needs innovation in technology to realize its potential contributions. Its benefits need to flow to host communities. industry can help to connect startups with investors to facilitate innovation, entrepreneurship, employment and a truly inclusive tourism sector.

Digital technologies have brought positive momentum to societies and economies around the world. They have connected us on a global level, helped to empower the most vulnerable and become our crucial allies for sustainable development. Our challenge is to continue harnessing this power for good while safeguarding against the risks.

On World Tourism Day, I call on industry to support digital technologies that can transform the way we travel, reduce the ecological burden of tourism and bring the benefits of tourism to all.

Coinbase is the second biggest cryptocurrency exchange in the market now with a 9.0 score on Coinmarketcap.

https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

And MrBeast is one of the most popular Youtubers now. He has 67.8 million subscribers on only Youtube. I think that this is a really wise move from Coinbase to advertise themselves and cryptocurrencies also. I expect so many people giving a chance to cryptocurrencies and have a nice role in the rise of Bitcoin adoption.

I feel like Mr.Beast is not a new cryptocurrency users, he must be holding a lot of cryptocurrency long time ago and giving out his money to make a content.
If we follow him on youtube, we know he had a lot of money to giving away and his jobs are just creating contents.
Now he is already got famous and maybe already got profits from the money that he giving away and now sponsored by one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchange.
Hope it will bring good to cryptocurrency industry.

MrBeast is definitely not new to cryptocurrency, if you've been following him for a long time, there have been RUMORS that MrBeast gained huge profit (aside from his sponsorships) because of Bitcoin and that he was investing for a long time, but he has been an enthusiast and showed his love for cryptocurrency a long time ago, he just really does not mention it that much in his videos but he has a thing for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, and because he is known for his crazy giveaways and popularity, Coinbase decided to partner with MrBeast on this huge giveaway.

Here's the article I've found - https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/youtuber-reveals-how-mr-beast-actually-made-his-fortune-from-bitcoin-1422740/

OP updated to reflect that part 2 of the video
That was fun but this time, it didn't mention anything about Coinbase or BTCitcoin on both the video and the description part [does the Lambo part count?Cheesy].
- That just goes to show that Coinbase only sponsored some of the rewards that were given on the first part [regardless of that, it'd be nice to know the exact amount].

Looks like they heard you loud and clear.  Today Coinbase teamed up with MrBeast to give away $100,000 in Bitcoin.  You can read the details in the thread I made specifically about it, as a $100,000 giveaway deserves it's own discussion.  Kudos to MrBeast and to Coinbase for doing something cool!
This is only available for citizens of United States and United Kingdom so good luck Tongue
It's time for someone to create event like this globally for all countries and people, that is the whole point of Bitcoin, no borders and limits.
No discrimination Coinbase and MrBeast please.

To be honest, I think coinbase could have spent the money in a more productive manner because there's hardly anyone who watches Mr. Beast will ever check out who's the sponsor and all. Most of the audience that watches his videos are people who just want to watch some fund videos.

That's a very bad take. FTX has been sponsoring gaming communities and has been killing it because of those sponsorships. And to add to that, it's really smart to target the younger demographic, the demographic that's likely to grasp the concept of digital assets. I mean, what do you recommend? Coinbase to sponsor cryptocurrency-related companies whereas their users likely have heard of Coinbase already?

If Coinbase really sponsored this event why they didn't pay winners in Bitcoin instead of dollars?

That should also serve as some motivation for our soon to be launched Bitcointalk YouTube channel as what sponsors are achievable in the space! Go Coinbase! Great to see my favorite things coming together. This will no doubt spur a little adoption boost for the day.
That's amazing and I was actually watching an Esports tournament and gladly enough, it was sponsored by Coinbase as well. It was a CS: GO tournament and there was a logo at the bottom and the casters were calling it something like Coinbase economy (the game uses the word economy to highlight the money each team has)

It seems like Coinbaseis actually making some insane partnerships and advertising in the most creative and effective ways. It would be a moment to behold if Coinbase can actually sponsor a huge tournament and become the title sponsor in the future.

How exactly MrBeast is going to promote or help Coinbase? Hope not with silly videos. Because the audience of it are mostly kids or people far from crypto. Or if he will just place a banner or dont say a single word about cryptocurrency (Im not even speaking about its description), then it will a total waste of money.
Not really a waste of money because the brand is being advertised to millions of viewers and subconsciously even if not promoted directly, people remember the brand.

I didn't have the patience to watch the entire video but the video description has a healthy mention of coinbase and even a referral link.

Some eagle-eyed YouTube fans might have noticed that another YouTuber famous for sneaking into events happened to find his way into this video.  Airrack basically gets into every event and is another great channel to watch if you need to kill some time and get some good quality content.  He was also promoting Bitcoin in his latest video, which I made another thread about here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/youtuber-airrack-gives-away-5000-in-bitcoin-in-latest-video-5357767

I haven't watched the video yet but sure I will. With such sponsorship given away in bitcoin and it is MrBeast, there's a huge viewership that also going to be part of educating his viewers and fans about bitcoin. I'm seeing the picture of it positively and hopefully, there will be more of this.
I've seen a video before but not sponsored around 2017 through GuavaJuice that he has bought a mystery box and received assets in crypto including bitcoin and other alts.
They actually paid a small amount to 2 participants who went out of the circle, $2k in BTC. I was laughing inside on a funny thought, imagine if the guys who got paid in BTC just hold the coins and a few years later they might technically hold/win more than the winners itself because the price of BTC can easily go around a million in the next couple of years.

To be honest, I think coinbase could have spent the money in a more productive manner because there's hardly anyone who watches Mr. Beast will ever check out who's the sponsor and all. Most of the audience that watches his videos are people who just want to watch some fund videos.

Not just that, but MrBeast fans are extremely loyal and if they can get him $10 by signing up for something then they will. Once they sign up, they do the freebies and get a couple bucks, and then they start buying Bitcoin. Smiley

Nice to see Coinbase putting their money towards something cool. I hope they also sponsor a video for his food bank.

Yep, good to see them thinking outside of the box a bit and to laser-target the demographic that's highly likely to be bitcoin/crypto holders/users in the long-term. Because if they don't, FTX is going to definitely eat their lunch with so much moves SBF is doing.

I mean there is no surprise that MrBeast has been investing in crypto since his early days in YouTube and if you look at his early videos you will see that he made some of his big fortune from bitcoin, so seeing that coinbase caught on to that an made a move to sponsor one of his videos and him accepting that is a great move and i ma sure that they will get some great publicity out of it.

This would be around 10 BTC reward and I think less people would apply that would increase chances for one person to win.
Doing something like this for Bitcointalkshow youtube channel would be a great idea, but idk if Cyrus will be allowed to use the precious funds for this...

I'm always watching videos on Youtube that also has a paid advertisements on their video but that video advertisement is maybe the best advertisements I've ever watched. He even include his players and the addition of Bitcoin in his video is already a big advertisement of Bitcoin already.

2 of the contestants got free $2000 worth of BTC just by stepping out of the line and that amount of Bitcoin might increase even more depending on how the receiver uses it. Holding it for a long time and it might increase from $2000 to maybe around $500,000 like the prize that they are fighting for. Of course this will take years Cheesy.

I tried to make a Coinbase account a few days ago,but I can't verify my address.I don't have a bank statement, that is written in English,so they can't verify my account. Sad
Unfortunately,I've deleted my old Coinbase account 5 years ago, because I was disappointed by Coinbase.
Anyway,Coinbase is a big corporation and it's pretty normal for them to have a big advertising budget. They can definitely afford major social media influencers like Mr.Beast.
I wonder when will Coinbase sponsor a PewDiePie video?I know that Felix isn't that interested in Bitcoin, but what the hell... Grin

Thats honestly one of those collabs or sponsorships that isn’t an eyesore and is just natural as the video creator isn’t bound by any bullshit terms for the sake of the sponsor’s exposure. No annoying fills, no big annoying banners, and it honestly feels like the video is just a normal Mr. Beast video due to the flow of the content and the video.

Coinbase definitely is a great sponsor that only wants to get their message across without having the need to demand some crazy things to those creators/services/websites that they sponsor.

It is a pity that the $500 000 prize in this video was not done in Bitcoin payments, because it was sponsored by a Crypto exchange. They could have just given the person a hardware wallet with that amount of bitcoin on. (Wink wink ==> A good opportunity for an advertisement for hardware wallets too)  Wink

Youtube sponsors will only pay you through Youtube's interface, on the condition that you display their ads on the video. They (usually) don't influence your video content, that would be the creator's job to do that.

The video can still have the ads and be like any of the other videos, but instead of giving Dollar bills, they could just hand out random hardware wallets with bitcoin on them or transfer the bitcoins from their wallet to the receivers wallet. (If the receiver does not have a wallet, they can give them Paper wallets with bitcoins transferred onto it.

Just imagine Ledger or Treazor getting onboard and sponsoring hardware wallets for a mass giveaway (pre-loaded with $1000 worth of Crypto per wallet and 1 secret wallet with $100 000 on it) - They can get different color wallets or they simply mark them, so they will know when someone wins the $100 000 one.

You're right, but I hope that doesn't become one of its main goals [at some point, it might have a bad impact on its future content].

until now the $10 referral code was effective upon creating a Coinbase account.
And it'll remain like that until next year.

Is there somebody who knows how much is all over the cost of the prize that is sponsored by Coinbase?
Couldn't find anything in regards to that [there's probably a confidentiality agreement in place], but if you search their new "Twitter" display name [Coinbase 🔜 #CoinBeastSweepstakes] on google, looks like they'll be giving away "$100,000" soon!

Even if coinbase is already popular in the community,
They're well known, but not that popular [in general].

Mrbeast has 67M subscribers! Who the hell is this guy? This would have been great if the reality TV show will be on the mainstream channel. Hope they do another on TV.

Coinbase chose to sponsor a YouTuber than a TV show simply because a huge majority of the younger demographic consumes media through the internet, not on television. The last thing they want is to advertise to boomers who think Bitcoin is a scam or is worth nothing lol.

I can't get enough of this, but it looks like they've officially teamed up. I don't understand about the allocation of 10$ for each referral given is from Coinbase or purely from MrBeast. Besides that it looks like he's just looking for Referrals, if he's a representative of coinbase I think there will be a lot of coinbase logos in the video. But this is one way of getting double profit, he gets a referral and the video is viewed, then he indirectly promotes Coinbase.

There's a huge difference between being a "representative" and simply being a sponsor; and I totally doubt a YouTuber as big as MrBeast would promote Coinbase without an actual sponsorship outside the referral revenue.

I started watching because of coinbase, stayed because of Mrbeast content lmao. I don't usually watch him but I do know him and his video shenanigans, I've watched quite a few, and quite honestly they really are entertaining. Didn't expect that I would watch the entirety of it. A definite win-win for coinbase ngl, MrBeast is a really influential person after all, even if it was only a one-time sponsorship by coinbase, they'd still highly profit just from the viewership MrBeast has, imagine if they continued doing it.

OMG!  There's a lot of prizes out there?  Lucky for those who have joined the contest and each of them received a good amount especially the Tesla car and the amount of $2,000 worth of Bitcoin and it might until now the $10 referral code was effective upon creating a Coinbase account.

That's a good return to the people who've used Coinbase and it might good also if this activity will continue for everyone and can able to join virtually.

Coinbase is getting aggressive with their marketing campaigns. MrBeast has a lot of subscribers so spreading his code, means some will be crypto users soon. That's nice partnership choosing a YT personality with tons of subscribers. Even if coinbase is already popular in the community, still they are finding ways how to expand their scope in this business.

This kind of activity for sure will start to spread again.
Before: money giveaways, now: Bitcoin giveaways. (Not those scam giveaways) as we saw on most of the videos by MrBeast is like giving away money/cars/houses/etc.

Good move too with Coinbase, as they help the Bitcoin to be known by more people.

coinbase did not shamelessly advertise by having big banners, they are popular already. this is a fun game and there seems to be no loser, they didn't just make the participants bored because they give them something to do in 12 days. they put a soccer goal so they could have something to do, this had really made it more fun. a good idea for a birthday party.

everyone still gets their prize. in the video, coinbase seems to have popped in the middle of the game to sponsor them. did tesla also sponsor them?
True, it doesnt really need up those banners or something like that and when it comes to something like this then when it comes to profit making then its understandable and not surprising.

Why would really be that serious on looking on how things been done for them to make money? This is business and its understandable on how those set-up works.

Thing here is what we do like is about exposure and thats a sure thing that will add up even more in relation to that.
