Well, $5 is a lot, But I will never release my personal info to these company, security and privacy are a priority. 
i had some problems with a small transaction (0.0001 BTC ) not reflecting in my available balance.
i wrote them a note, and after few messages they recognized the problem, credited the transaction and gave me the equivalent of 5 USD in BTC as an extra for the hassle.

I find them okay in terms of response times if one considers how quickly they have scaled
