✔️ On February 12th, 2018, Japanese exchange Coincheck announced to re-enable its investors to withdraw fiat JPY in the next week. This announcement has been made after the rumor has it that Coincheck has closed the platform since January 26th.

✔️ On that day, Coincheck is believed to be the victim of a hack wherein 523,000,000 XEM tokens were stolen. They then promised to compensate some 260,000 NEM holding accounts. Investors can now make a withdrawal of fiat JPY since February 13th, 2018.

“Currently, all customer JPY assets are being stored in a customer-specific account in a major financial institution”, they explained in a meeting.
