Yes, there will be bugs to get fixed, and it could take some time to get running perfectly. However i would think the pros could out-weigh the cons.

When other nations banks decide gox btce etc shouldn't have contact with fiat, i think you may sing a different tune.

With a decentralised exchange you are not resolving any issue but rather move the issue somewhere else, in an "anonymous" network where nobody is willing to take responsibility for scams/bugs/etc.
You are obviously trading scam coins in these shit websites and to be honest you should expect this level of service and I would say and loss it's well deserved.
Be prepared to lose some of your coins, it's going to happen soon

Coined up is fucked and only today i see them asking which other coins to add. Are these exchanges insane, why have cryptsy just adding new coins? i like this new coin and its community but they can't even handle the traffic they have now and the bugs are running wild still. Infact i just tried to deposit some small amount of doge there and i notice it says 120 confirms and still not on my account. What is wrong with them. I mean coinedup cuts out every 2 mins but at least i can get my coins in and out on the 10th try, and it actions quickly.

Yes, maybe you've been around in crypto longer than myself, however that does not mean we don't need a new solution to exchanges and need it fast.  Don't start with your petty comments and advice. I am saying we need a decentralised form of exchange, i am not saying i know how to build it. If i say it enough perhaps someone will know how to start about such a project.

The exchanges are just about a joke, why does it take weeks to get shit figured out? just wondering, not that I really have a stake in any of them.
I did do some personal calculations that showed them turning hell of a profit running a hole in the wall shop, take the volume of your favorite  exchange, guess that the 2% fee is the first to be sold on the exchange and calculate the btc collected, it should drive any expert in coding into the market with a high speed top of the line site.
If they want to stay anonymous there has got to be someone willing to put their name on everything for 1% of the trade fee, I sure as hell would.

Most of these exchanges are very undercapitalized.  Remember, the most well known Mt. Gox got its name from being Magic the Gathering Exchange.  It takes a lot of talent and resources to make a robust exchange.  Probably the best one in the US is Coinbase and there are tons of threads on these boards about how much they suck.

So they are probably doing the best they can, they are just grappling with explosive demand and a mostly hobbyist pool of expertise.

So I think the people who are saying do it yourself if you can are not kidding.  It is a great opportunity.  I wish I could code worth a damn, I'd love to do it.
