The gift code is made so you can transfer amounts between two Coinizy accounts.
e.g: Your brother have a Coinizy VCC and you want to give him $100 as a birthday gift. You deposit $100 on Coinizy, generate a gift code worth this amount and give to him. This way he can load his Virtual Card with the amount he redeemed and spend it online with his card.
It will only work inside the Coinizy website, and you can't redeem the value back to Bitcoins. The only thing you can do is try to sell your gift code for BTC in the Digital Good board.
I wouldn't recommend this site anyway. I had some issues with them in the past and they look shady.
