Tell me more about these so-called "3D barcodes".  QR codes are 2D, but you want barcodes that pop out of the paper?  Explain.

QR code seems better than the conventional bar codes, for that matter. It would require new or updated hardware but seems to me a  much better option.

If I was given the option of never having to carry metal coins with me any longer, I'd be glad to do that:  Roll Eyes   Grin

the shopping centres could offer to return the change instead of in metal coins in BTC bitcoin as barcode on the cashier receipt.  Kiss

you could use your Android phone to process that fairly quick then.  Grin

most cash printers already print barcodes and such. or use a code scheme involving webpages and PINs.   Cheesy



that would be a huge petrol saver too, considering the reduced weight in street traffic thereby.
