I think this coin market cap application is very good one because it virtually keeps up with almost all the whole coins and not just that but can also add portfolios as one can input his coin amount and know its worth ad the day goes

There are some better alternatives out there. I use Bitcoin ticker widget app which has an option to track more currencies.
I tried it but it only has three currencies.

Does this app covers different exchanges? What are those so I might as well try it out? Also you may want to enable API to your app so we can perform some buy and sell since they don't have an app for us to do so. We need to visit there website in order to do it but if you add this then it will surely click.
Edit: you might as well consider having night mode or use colors that are not too bright but a little darker especially when you wake up in the middle of your nap or sleep then your eyes will need to adjust with the brightness. This is for an added conveniency.

Finally,theres someone do create this kind of app which is really useful on most traders and even on beta i will test it out. thanks for this and as suggested above please do add up other altcoins and for sure there would lots of users would download this app.
Now thats what I'm talking about. A good alerting app for all traders out there. I look forward to your project, but I request you to add some more altcoins such as monero ,stratis ,dash, digibyte etc if possible.
