I have been mining to zec address of my coinomi for several months but today it stopped seeing the deposits. When restoring the same wallet on another smartphone, it wont recover the ZEC account associated with the same address. What is going on? Is there something going on with the network?

Do you mean when restoring your ZEC account you are being greeted by a different address? Or are you seeing your same address without any amount of ZEC?
If it is the latter, then probably the coinomi wallet is simply doing some maintenance work or are in the process of re-syncing their ZEC wallets. I wouldn't worry so much if it hasn't been more than a day. It's the weekend and they may resume on Monday.
