I believe that this is good, eventually best coins will survive and it rivality will influence progress and we will see new ideas wich is good. I don't say majority is pure copy paste and they deserve to go crypto garbage, but thay still have their role in all of this. People love to learn on their own faults.
In a few years we will have even more coins, now it is much easier to find tutorials how to create your own coin..

I do not have an idea which altcoin would be having a great value in next year but i have a prospect coin which is ethereum i do start buying it and wait for the right time to sell it maybe in the next couple of years.

That is the best option choosing some good coin is right decisions and holding them for some time will give 5X profit for sure. Before that choosing, the right one will also give you good profit in the long haul.

Its hard to predict what coin is good for long period of time to hold or to keep in our wallet. Just be careful on picking coin to hold just do a background check about the project of the coin and what is the vision of the project.
Much better to be sure in every investment.

This is very difficult, risky to buy bitcoin for now, bitcoin price is too expensive for many purchases. Chances are in 2018 bitcoin havethe price 1600 ~ 1700 $, but some altcoin will climb like ethereum. Nothing is certain in the future, guessing with speculation only resulted in a loss.

Many times i thought about how many coins can exists at the same time, to share a total market cap. There is plenty of space for all. Actually they are all tradable and can be used as unity, and they can be for different tasks. Industry tokens, gaming tokens..Why not? Why there must be only one, this way of thinking lifts alts.

It seems like most altcoins do gain some value whenever the price of Bitcoin goes up. Well, believe me when I say that the price of Bitcoin is SERIOUSLY up right now. So, holding just about any coin with a future is a good idea right now

fiat currency is antiquated, and new technologies like bitcoin have paved the way... a generation is now defined as every 5 years, vs. every 20 years in the past because of how rapidly technology advances. in 5 more years, the world will be a very different place. niche altcoins or their next iteration will definitely continue to flourish.

Are ready to use this/next year? Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies already been used for years and yes still on developing progress until today. Next year > cryptocurrency will grow further of course and just some coins survive and still has good position in the trading market, and we don't know for sure about mass adoption but it's fine to expect more tn 5-15 years later as cryptocurrency has been proven rise significantly. Waiting for lift off in 2018.

I dont think so that its the main reason why altcoin booms because of sudden increase of tx fee on bitcoin,there might be a point for some altcoin holders which they do engage with it because of avoiding huge fees but thats not always the case.Having alternatives is always good rather or compared than on having one thing.Its better to have many options incase if there something happen on one.

Will the huge traders be avoiding transaction fees worth for a half of dollar? That's very non sense in my mind because they can generate worth thousands dollar from their trading job. But the longest block validation can be the main attention which has made a lot of people try to use off-chain transaction such as altcoin chain, I remember if I can delivered my transaction using ethereum chain or ltc chain just some minutes.

you only care about bitcoin so called high transaction fees if you are spending bitcoin not trading it and trading is the cause of price and then as a secondary reason the adoption for spending.

and if we assume what you say is true, and people are really looking for altcoin with low fee, then that altcoins should be accepted so they can spend it! NO ALTCOIN IS ACCEPTED AS A CURRENCY, at least not as much as bitcoin so in the end there is no point in going to an altcoin!

lets think about it a little.
assume i wanted to pay for a game on Steam and i am not happy about the fees. do you think i can switch to an altcoin? obviously no, steam doesn't even recognizes altcoins let alone accepting them.

Agree with nem, its been awhile that they have been developing their system. But so are the tokens being on the ICO last 2016 such as WAVES platform. There will be a lot of these tokens that will soon go to the moon. 2018 will be a blast because more and more people are introduced to the blockchain technology which means more investors too.

1. seems like you and i have a different definition of "in development". i call something "in development" (i think the correct proposition is under) that is not yet released. otherwise it would be like saying Windows 7 is in development!

2. i don't like your "real world usages" since these are crypto-currencies show me where i can spend them as a currency. anything else is not usage in my opinion.

3. it wasn't few months ago, it was 2008-2009 until today and in the future that media and banks bash bitcoin and by extension cryptocurrencies.
and for adoption we need people being willing to spend bitcoin, the user friendly wallets and softwares are already created.

i disagree. it takes time, specially for an altcoin. people all around the world are not going to wake up one morning saying "I've got to get me some altcoin".
bitcoin, which is the biggest one, has been around for 8 years and it is not yet reached mass adoption. bitcoin has made the way for adoption smooth but it still will take time and that altcoin needs to be so damn good to be adopted for "real world usage".

But here are some examples: NEM (2014), ETH (ok, needs more time), Sia, GAME + Mobilego, Bitcrystal (release few days ago), IOTA this year,...
2: All with real world usage. e.g NEM with banks , IOTA with IOT companies,...
3: Yeah, it needs time. But it´s almost 10 years now since the birth of BTC! And mass adoption depends on 2 fundamental things: 1: tested and easy to use product (make a software easy to use is a matter of months) and 2: tv and media. I remember when first mobile came up and 90% laughed and said what a bullshit. Few months later 70% and 2 years later 0,1%.
Few months ago crypto was demonized by banks and media. Now it´s "accepted" and soon it will pushed like hell. Sheeps will follow immediately Grin

For me i would agree that in time it would bloom because a lot of businesses now are related to internet. Most transactions are now going online and many more. Patients is very much important in this kinds of trade. Many coins are now increasing but not the same as some commodities that we usually buy. Many coins will rise up so better start stocking.
