When I first see this, they only allowed it on smart phone apps , but yesterday my coins.ph in my laptop recommend or endorse about the eth wallet. So I want to be in like others ( 20 pesos is just fine to me ) .Good thing that they also accept ethereum on coins.ph.

This is so cool!! I can now store etherium in much safer wallet where I don't need to have private keys in order to access it. It is much safer in my phone than in website. Hope it will be updated soon so everyone in the Philippines can use it.  Cheesy

Dont use coins.ph to store large amount of etherium you need a much safer platform like myetheriumwallet or coinbase, coins.ph are only use to transfer funds and convert it to fiat money in no time. their support team is so weak and response are so slow, they will need a bigger support to be able to serve a good service for the costumer.

Note this one. That would also be my primary use purpose for my coins.ph wallet. I just keep some of my Btc in my electrum wallet.
I encountered several issues regarding withdrawals many times, although all of them as been resolved, but it usually takes 2-3 days or worst a week. I personally think they need a strong support team as well.

Yes, saw it after i update my coins.ph. its really nice that there are another option for buying new coins. Now, people in our country are slowly embracing the changes in the world of cryptocurrencies. And one visible evidence is adding this etherum option in one of the known bitcoin and exchange platform in the Philippines. With this, we can now have etheruem in easy way. Before, we have to go to different exchanges just to have an ethereum. One best thing in mind is that it is going very easy now to add some value to myetherwallet for the gas. Before it is really hard for me to think how to get started. Thanks for adding this feature.

Yes, ethereum is now added at coins.ph and I feel happy for there are more possible option on money transfer but I have doubt if I can buy new coins from any ICO using Ethereum in Coin.PH wallet because I tried one's then it appears in an agreement that it cannot use to purchase coin in an ICO, correct me if i'm wrong. Generally its good to have ethereum added in coins.ph

It's really a good thing that crypto enthusiasts here in the Philippines have now additional options in our leading digital Wallet which is Coins.ph. Convertion now is much easier whether bitcoin or ethereum. And it's really cheap for only just 20 pesos.

This is a great news! Because not only the bitcoin would be convert in our country money but also ethereum. The people in my country are close minded in this kind of thing, the digital currency. But as the days pass by they saw it the importance and they can earn in this and now they starting spread the benefits of digital currency.

Ethereum for me is one of the potential coin so that's why I think coins.ph are now accepting ethereum it's brcause they see the potential of this coin become very high the price in the future like bitcoin. This is the good sign because if the wallet are adding a new coin to their features it is a potential coin. Im very happy because I easily buy a ethereum and sell instantly using coins.ph that's good job coins.ph. I suggest last few months I hope they add ethereum and for sure many people suggest too so that's why they add ethereum but not only what we say because they add ethereum to their wallet because they do some research for sure.

Yes it is, Coins.ph created Ethereum wallet for us so it could be convenient to use. But we need to buy Ethereum to make our own wallet in only 20PHP, Ethereum wallet is much useful than Bitcoin wallet because its easier to earn Ethereum than Bitcoin.

Yes but it's not also guaranteed that your ethereum will be safe on coins the recommended wallet is that you must have control on your own private key.

Cons.ph are now accepting Etherium!

But its not available in the websites of coins.ph also this features is not supported by lower version of android phones.

Tested on Zenfone 4 Max Nougat

Hope that we can convert etherium directly to bitcoin using this, but for now its not supported.

I will try to transfer etherium later or update us if someone already try to store etherium in this wallet.

See photos below:

Confirmed that the update is now available to lower version of android phones, And my friends already have the etherium features on their coins.ph apps.

i did update my coins.ph and see ethereum and to activate the wallet it needs 20 pesos and sending eth coist .00135 eth. this is great cause you don't have to convert btc to eth just to send eth to myetherwallet.

The beta test is done and the actual updated app with ETH wallet is now on the playstore. You do not need to wait something that is already there.

The apps are already have an update. If you have multiple gmail account in your mobile phone, just check it to see your update.

Why some are complaining that they dont see update on their mobile phones.
Yes coins.ph accepted ether and we are happy. But you need to pay before to activate ether in coins.ph, but its okay.

I am also using coins.ph in mobile app because I have just only android phone in order for me to connect in the world of crypto. However, I do not know yet that coins.ph also supported ethereum and as what I saw in the OP, it seems like it is a good news for us Filipino crypto enthussiast because we can convert our money/cryptocurrency directly in coins.ph.

Etherium has the potential to beat bitcoin
No it doesn't have the potential beat bitcoin and any other coin that is an alt.
I updated my coins.ph but still no ethereum hehe
AFAIK, this is applicable for the beta testers but once you'll update the app on play store you'll get the wallet by paying some fees. Read the other comment of others about that update.

**I guess this should be moved to  Service Discussion (Altcoins).

It is not safe to store your ETH on exchanges. You don't hold the private key so it is not "much safer".

I don't need to have private keys in order to access it.
You can tell this today but let's see if the exchange will experience something wrong such as hacking. (I hope it won't happen).

I was just surprised there was a fee to create the ETH wallet. But overall still good news. That took awhile! Eth is not on a high right now so I am holding off on testing the exchanger feature to PHP. Will check first the transfer from MEW to the Coins ETH wallet. This makes it faster to join ICOs though. And many crypto enthusiasts in the PH start with tokens and ETH before converting to BTC and PHP.
Indeed, it's easier now to join ico just buy eth inside coins.ph and send it directly to the ico wallet unlike before that we needed to buy btc first then send it inside exchange to buy eth before we can join the ico's, philippine investors will surely love this, it's just needed to be well advertise and I'm not sure if this wallet already available with online service or just  an apps.

For now i is not yet developed and still on a beta testing so converting eth to btc in coins.ph is not yet good since it is not supported but if this will be possible I think many investors will come using the coins.ph.

what is that website? I opened it and it seems to me like some kind of phishing site. Everyone please be careful and don't click on the lnk unless you're sure it's legit web

That would be great. I really need it however is it applicable to signature campaign who pays Ethereum? Because I think they only need accredited ETH wallet for payment. Still that is good news wherein we can invest to ETH now aside to Bitcoin.
Moreover, I think that is not applicable to all users and you need to wait for email confirmation from Coins.ph if you can now have the acces to ETH.

My friend from Facebook just posted that ethereum is already available in coins. pH, which is a great thing to know. Earlier, I just checked my coins. pH application, but I have never seen any notification about the changes and improvement of the apps. This thread gives me the knowledge that it won't cost me too much because I really don't have to convert ethereum to bitcoin. This is a great improvement for everyone.

This is great new to our friends out there in the Philippines. I think this the best way to know that ethereum and bitcoin is patronizing in the Philippines. Coins.ph is doing great in their work, let us be optimistic that in other country will be pantronize too. In this way, it is much easier to trade, buy and sell our ethereum and bitcoin. Hopefully coins.ph will continue there good work and it will continue the secured of the wallet. Let us hope for the better.

It is really a good thing that Coins.PH now is accepting not only bitcoin but also ethereum now because it will less the hassle if we Filipinos want to exchange crypto to fiat. Also i checked the rate as of now the price in CMC of eth is $865.23 meanwhile the price of eth in coins.ph is $854.34, only 11$ difference it can be considered good.

I just update my coins.ph app and I discovered that they already provide an ethereum wallet. This would be very helpful for those filipinos who want to get into trading and investment. It makes the transactions faster and more convenient and requires low transaction fees. This will be a huge step for the philippines and cryptocurrencies. But I'm still hoping that they will create a wallet that is compatible for all kinds of cryptos just like myetherwallet.

I this disagree with you. I've been experiencing today just like others too having updating my account coins.ph using my samsung J7 2016 but it appears no changes. I've notice that it depends on version only applicable for latest andriod phone so it needs more adjustment to consider atleast 3 years old phone just like samsung J7 2016.

at first it was a beta test, they have electronically chose users to be a beta testers, but as i heard up to this day, the update is already available which means it passed. but unfortunately, this eth wallet has a fee if you want to create a eth wallet, you can transfer you eth from your external eth wallet to coins.ph eth wallet. you can also transfer peso to btc to eth and vice versa, but there are pros and cons. just like transferring your btc to coins.ph btc wallet, there are fees. there are minimum eth amount that is to be transferred, but this is definitely a good start for that country to enjoy eth to eth wallet transfer.

I will try to transfer etherium later or update us if someone already try to store etherium in this wallet.

This is great news and a good development. The Asian countries stand to benefit the most as they now can convert directly to their own currency,. ETH is about to see good days

coin.ph will make filipinos great again.
Its coins.ph. (https://coins.ph/)

Yes, this is really a welcoming news for all Filipinos out there. I guess this is the next step for Filipinos to be the next country amongst Asia to bring bitcoin and crypto's to the next level. As I understand they have also a beta for trading platform and once rolled out, it will somewhat impact the price of bitcoin and crypto trading will be the next big thing in the country. Say goodbye to Forex trading. hahahaha

I am shocked when I update my coins.ph using my oppo phone. I didn't expect that there would be ethereum in coins.ph . This is a good news for everyone because we can easily transact and convert our ethereum into bitcoin or php. But not all phones are capable with these update of coins.ph. There are still some cases that the update is not yet delivered in other android or iOs phones.

I hope this push through ethereum will become huge in the next few years they already have the market on the majority of the exchanges, and there are a lot of Filipinos who also holds ethereum, if this materialized many Fipilinos will not have to go to transfer their ethereum to Bitcoin and transfer it to Coins.ph to convert to local currency.

This is good news. Because we can use ethereum to cash out our money in crypto currency, But I just ask, Is the withdrawal fee too big? Is Bitcoins similar to withdrawing?

The withdrawal of PHP, BTC and ETH are always the same, the only difference is the cash. If you will be looking at your account's limit and verification, you can see that you're limit is the same for example, if you are level 2, nothing will change, you can still cash out 50K pesos per week and 250K pesos per month.

And you can still cash out using the same options either bank or money pickups.

I'm from PH, and this is a great news! But I think the ETH wallet for now is still developing and is now open for beta-testing. But if this will be published, it could go ETH price a heck higher.
I also like you excited about this information. As you said, this is just a beta version but not yet officially announced. If in the coming time it will be officially announced price ETH and Altcoin powered will fly higher and faster.

The beta test is done and the actual updated app with ETH wallet is now on the playstore. You do not need to wait something that is already there.

I think this is for a testing or beta if ethereum can really work out with the coins.ph application. If ever that it would happen i will really try to hold ethereum as much as possible because i see ethereum as the queen of cryptocurrency and 2nd universal cryptocurrency. This is great news to all my fellow filipinos specially to those who are using international wallets for ethereum.

Phishing site? at what part will be the site be considered as a phishing one? I don't think so that it is like that. It's trusted by a huge numbers of Filipino people, and also by searching in the web, the site you're referring to be a phishing site is considered as a licensed platform to it's Central Bank. This is one great news for Filipinos in crypto business. A lot of FIlipinos are holding Etherium and this would mean easier transaction using etherium. This will mean less fees which is an additional savings. But right now it is not still official and is now for trial period. I am really excited for this app because I believe that this is one big step is a good strategy that will lead to more demand and higher value that will be profitable for investors and traders.

This is more wider expansion for our cryptocurrency investments. Buying Ether in our country is quite difficult due to few adoption happening to it while prioritizing Bitcoin adoption. Tried Coinbase before but it stated that it isn't yet available in our country, so being this major Bitcoin wallet that is now accepting Ethereum is a huge step forward for us to invest even more in a lot of alt coins in the market.

This was announce weeks ago on their website, but it is not yet fully operational and there are still many customers that don't have Ethereum wallet on their coins.ph account (including myself), but I don't care much about this since I have no plans to hold my Ethereum in an online wallet/exchange like this. Aside from supporting Ethereum, they will also be launching their own cryptocurrency trading platform which is a good thing but there is no specific date of release. btw it is not Etherium, it is Ethereum. And also move this topic altcoin or services discussion since it is not Bitcoin related topic.

Hi, I am a Filipino my phone is brand new and my coins.ph app is updated and there is still no ethereum wallet on my account. FB pages said that only selected accounts has ethereum wallet as of now and it is at beta testing. All coins.ph users will have ethereum wallet sooner after the beta testing.

One person from coins.ph emailed me a while ago and yes it's only a beta testing of coins.ph ETH wallet. But she said that, they just closed the beta testing program and already published an update of coins.ph application where that functionality is included.

So maybe in the next few days, weeks, we can already have ETH on each of our coins.ph wallet (even on lower versions) since it is slowly rolled out, and they said they will update me about that matter. I'm glad about this update, it would be much easier to convert Ethereum to fiat!  Cool

There is an update and I do not know why people are not seeing this update. And a Filipino reached out to the supports of coins.ph about this and they said this :
You have to reach level 3 first in limits and verifications, so you can update and have your ETH wallet. It may take several days and they will message you if identity verifications is verified.

No, even if you are not a level 3 or level 4, you can use the ETH wallet. In fact there are some users of coins.ph who is level 3 and 4 that also cannot see the update. I am not a level 3 nor level 4 but I can access their new update.

It is because their coins.ph app is not updated. The old coins.ph still doesn't support Ethereum. It must be updated in Google Playstore.

And one more thing, before you can be able to use or receive Ethereum to your coins.ph Ethereum wallet. You must pay 20Php first hehe.

It is maybe a beta version(?) so not all user had this feature. I had mine updated at this moment and I also had eth wallet as a feature. I don't know  if the phone brand  is one of the reason but I think it is not definitely the main problem. By the way I am using Vivo s5 lite for reference.

Yeah, I already saw this one. I'm also using Coins.ph as my bitcoin wallet and it's latest update now supports Ethereum, and tested in my Zenfone 3 max (OP's phone is latest) . It's good to know that coins.ph is now accepting ethereum but, I still prefer Myetherwallet because MEW is erc20 supported wallet and I'm sure coins.ph is still buggy since it just recently released a new feature. I will be looking forward to coins.ph to become erc20 supported wallet.

It's not a phishing site, coins.ph is a legit bitcoin wallet usually used by Filipino. You can try using it if you want and I assure you that it is secured and pretty handy.

I think this is the result of the news saying Philippines accepting bitcoin and it is a good news for filipinos since we all use Eth wallets to store tokens and stakes to be converted to btc, but still I recommend MyEtherWallet since it has metamask as protection from hackers.

I think it is still great since not all of the traders are getting great profits from their tradings since they are been all eaten up by the fees to send it from exchange to exchange.

When I sold some of my altcoins, I spend $50 from cashing out my profits by depositing it to an exchange, sending it back into my wallet then send it into shapeshift.io where I convert the ETH to BTC to send to my coins.ph that is a long adventure and so hassle to do. With coins accepting ETH now, I do not need to spend that price and that will be reduced almost 10 times.

I do use MyEtherWallet for holding up my coins and for my tokens, but if I will be needing some fiat, I can just send it directly to cons.ph

What I like about this is that we can easily withdraw our ETH same with our BTC. Well, I haven't the time yet to confirm if the ETH wallet is supported to accept Tokens like myetherwallet.

I think this is the result of the news saying Philippines accepting bitcoin and it is a good news for filipinos since we all use Eth wallets to store tokens and stakes to be converted to btc, but still I recommend MyEtherWallet since it has metamask as protection from hackers.

See photos below:

maybe they are just trying to check if it's usable for coin ph users and wh it turns successfully then from there they will enhanced and let all users create accounts.as what ive read its for the android users only not even available for IOS..but having this will give more accessibility for the coin ph users ..hope sooner more and more coins will be available in this wallet

Etherium Ethereum  Tongue

Good news for the filipinos. But always take note that only use these kinds of app services to purchase the coins, not store them. It's still always recommended to use MyEtherWallet for that purpose.

what is that website? I opened it and it seems to me like some kind of phishing site. Everyone please be careful and don't click on the lnk unless you're sure it's legit web
It's an app specifically for the Philippines.
Yes sir. Coins.ph is the local wallet in our country and this was already regulated by the Central Bank of the Philippines. It's an application where we can store bitcoin earnings. It is also available in the playstore for android users. It safe to use. Good thing ETH can be stored now in coins.ph wallet. Convert eth to btc or eth to php. Nice!

I'm from PH, and this is a great news! But I think the ETH wallet for now is still developing and is now open for beta-testing. If this will be published, price of ETH will go skyrocket high because of the new investors coming.
