Great news yan para sa mga OFW because WU AFAIK is known as an international remittance but mind me pinoys will always prefer those who have low fees (I guess not only pinoys).

Banks have their own rules and regulation when it comes to cryptocurrency. Major and minor banks have a consensus not to accept any crypto related deposit because it's untraceable. Money laundering often come from cryptocurrency and this is why they are not accepting any direct deposit related to crypto, when they found out that your money in your account is related to crypto then they will automatically close it and you can't get your money back.

Wow good news to para sa mga OFW, ang problema lang siguro dito ay medyo mataas ang fee sa Western Union kumpara sa mga remittances dito sa Pinas like LBC. But the good thing is mas madaming option na kaya magpapababaan sila sa fee.

Yes, indeed. But for the hassleness, I wouldn't mind paying high fees for the convienience it will give to me.  Wink

Good thing they implemented this feature which addresses the gray areas of sending money online to OFWs. The problem would be the transaction fees as many remittances center have a relatively low price in transaction fees compared to WU. But still, more options mean more availability to send bitcoins online!

Banks often question the origin of the money deposited if you use cryptocurrencies as they see it as something that is illegal as of the moment. Compared to other remittance centers, cheaper option talaga yung local exchanges compared to an international money transfer establishment.

I now know how to cash out from Western Union pag may padala. Anyways, I did try to check how to do it and it asked me to refresh my verification.
