Why is this news? Is Cola Group famous in Africa? I'm not familiar with the brand.
Anyway, it seems the site is mainly a sportsbetting site. Upon browsing there, I found the slots section isn't yet to function.

Yes, what I don't like about the news is that the result is that they are going to impoverish the people of Africa even more.
It won't have a such significant effect as it's only a website. But sure, it definitely not a service that beneficial to people's wellbeing. I'd rather see land casinos built in tourism areas.

Seems like cola.bet is making serious advancements in Africa, they recently launched a zero margin campaign and even offered the users with additional 150% deposit bonus, which lead to an increase of 320% in the new active users.

Players from Kenya, Ethiopia and Zambia will not be able to benefit from this offer and at the same time they are providing this zero margin campaign for many pre matches as well.

They are also going to introduce a variety of other bonuses for the players, which I do think might be really good for the people who might be into betting, they would be getting new options as well.

So if you are from Kenya, Ethiopia or Zambia you need to definitely look out for them.

There is definitely a market in Africa and the laws are always a lot more "flexible" when it comes to gambling. I guess they are targeting the richest countries in Africa who will also have the more reliable internet connections - places like Nigeria or South Africa. They must be going for quantity of gamblers rather than the people with the highest incomes, however there is definitely a niche to be tapped. Let's hope they optimize every single file of their website for the smallest size, that way they'll be able to accommodate people who are on relatively small data plans or have slow download speeds depending on the phone network they use.

Totally agree with you. For example in countries like Nigeria, are roughly 60 million Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 40 who are involved in active sports betting. They spend N1.8 billion Naira on sports betting daily which is roughly $4,3million United States Dollar. So I see why they are expanding to African countries and pretty sure their target market will be Nigeria, Ghana, South-Africa, Kenya.

It must be admitted that every country must have a reputable gambling site that you can rely on, especially the Cola.bet gambling site serving sports betting, especially football, although I'm still new, heard of gambling site Cola.bet which is based in Africa and active in Nigeria.

I support Cola.bet launching their new campaign at this time, hopefully their business can grow and for sports betting addicts especially in Africa can be optimistic and happy if they want to bet.

I'm quoting from the OP's source, after I read the most interesting thing for me is: as said below.
Quote
The firm is hopeful that the new campaign in Ethiopia, Kenya and Zmbia will ‘enhance business expansion’ across the region, whilst it also maintains plans for a $14.5 million investment into its iGaming division with the goal of operating in over 10 African jurisdictions by mid-2022.

I take it "zero marging" means "zero House Edge". I guess they will do it for a season to attract customers and then they will put the HE, otherwise they will go bankrupt.

It is good progress in the gambling industry in that country because they can attract people's attention to try their luck.
But hopefully, that can give awareness to the local government to watch out their citizen who is playing gambling because that can attract more serious problems to their citizen.
Gambling websites or local gambling can give so many tempting offerings to people to invite them to go to their places and spend their money.
Maybe it needs more government regulations to the gambling places so both can control their people not become addicted to gambling.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
Interesting, though it looks like it's the usual campaign ads by gambling sites no? I mean I have no doubt they'd release the same bonuses (or more) when it comes to certain events or whatnot. It does help in increasing player base in the short run but in the long run? It's kinda unlikely no? Though if they do have a certain requirement for receiving the bonus, I guess they already made enough to cover the bonuses they have as well as profiting quite a bit even if it doesn't last in the long run.

While I was scrolling through their "Bonus Policy" page, the following parts caught my attention, and such things usually lead to a big mess:
- IMO, it's like giving false promises for the sake of getting more users to sign-up [it's unethical]!
(But it's also a marketing strategy that lets them have 100% of control).

interesting to see good sites betting on countries with less financial resources, which most other sites wouldn't even give importance.
Even better to see that they are investing heavily with so many bonuses... a sign that they hope to stay for a long time and develop, because the investment must return in the form of profit for them.
I would like that in my country games of chance were at least released.

even offered the users with additional 150% deposit bonus,
For some reason, their homepage is still showing a "100% deposit bonus" [a bit strange]!

Big bonuses like that usually come with big rollover and deposit restrictions.

A player would likely need to deposit a certain amount. Optionally, achieve a certain number of bets. Then hit a rollerover percentage on the total amount deposited to be eligible for withdrawal of funds.

Example they might need to deposit a minimum of 0.5 BTC. With all 0.5 being placed on bets before they were eligible to receive the 100% bonus.

There is usually a catch to bonuses and special terms offered by sportsbooks.

It's worth noting that they can't combine multiple bonuses at the same time:

  • No multiple bonus
Only one bonus can be activated at any given time. Deposit bonuses cannot be combined. For example, a promotion that provides for a bonus upon registration and a welcome bonus, do not stack and a user will have to pick one of them.

  • Bonuses generally
We are entitled to create new bonuses, alter the existing bonuses and remove bonuses at any time at our own discretion and without prior notice to you. It is your obligation to carefully review the terms of bonuses (including the terms of a specific bonus) every time before using it. We can restrict the bonuses to be applicable only to specific events and types of games.
