I understand a cold wallet means the private key are generated on a computer that will remain offline forever. So that a hacker can never get to the private key via the internet.

So I want a cold wallet. However using Armory I need to buy another old laptop and I have another machine to take care off. So I was thinking why not use my old smartphone, download www.bitaddress.org website, disconnect from the internet for good, and generate private key. Copy by hand the private key so I have paper backup (as smartphone does not have printer) and then send all my coins for cold wallet to that address? Since it is for long term saving I don't need to make payments with that.

What do you think?
