For ERC20,it's the Ethereum wallet.
There are many cold wallet,Token.im, Myetherwallet.com,mycrypto.com,all these wallet support offline storage.

And I used all of them with offline signature, easier, secure.

There is one problem with Tether through ERC20, which is the specific network this all gets processed on.
Which is Ethereum network, the same network that is showing an increase in fee costs (higher then Bitcoin), a dependancy on
having to first calculate the correct gas fee (automatic gas fee calculation are these days often at the low side) and a slow down
in its ability to process transactions.

The reasons : increase in Tether ERC20 transactions through Ethereum network has maxed-out that network and Ethereum still has no
scaling solution in place.

Personally i rather use a network that has room to grow and a scaling solution already in place, before considering any
cold storage on it. So that i dont have to deal with issues like these later on.

If you store your private key properly and do not tell your private key to others then no one else will know. And as long as you don't enter the private key on the phishing website, your wallet will be safe.  And remember do not save your private key on google drive or drop box.
Make sure you store your private key properly and safely. Don't lose it.

So far, from 2016 until now I have never had a problem with MEW. My private key is safe until now and no one else knows.

You can use the myetherwallet wallet for altcoin USDT with ERC20 platform, because altcoin USDT has two platform versions that we can use, first is ERC20 and the second is OMNI, so if for ERC20 you can use myetherwallet only.

Hello, Is there any COLD wallet for ERC20 USDT?
Problem with ledger wallet is they are not cold wallet, because they dont give you your private key, and ledger developer have access to your private key which is not safe.
Im looking for a cold wallet with private key.
Cold wallet = Offline wallet, Never online.

You can download https://github.com/MyEtherWallet/MyEtherWallet/releases then put it into local disk.
and generate it offline without internet.

How to generate erc20 address offline https://feest.io/generate-offline-ethereum-wallet/

see this too

Yes according to MEW support they support USDT ERC20 just make sure to add this as another custom token.

Read this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/MyEtherWallet/comments/c8wv07/how_to_store_erc20_version_of_tether_usdt_on_mew/

USDT ERC20 token is different from real USDT which is coin don't compare them they are different if you send the USDT coin to MEW it won't work except for USDT ERC20 token.

Thanks for answer, whats Guarantee that software will not spy my private key, I know thats offline application but what if that software wait untill laptop connect to internet and then send my private key to someone else??

Im looking for a cold wallet with private key.
If you are in doubt of Ledger Nano S wallet, then go for Trezor. Trezor is very common and we all know that it is a cold storage wallet that gives you full control over your asset by owning your private key to yourself. However, even if u have not used Ledger Nano S wallet before, I believe it has the same functionality as giving you full control over your wallet.

and generate it offline without internet.

I second that choice. Have a backup up the wallet so there will be much less curropted issues.

You do have your private key. You can derive it from your seeds any time you want. And no, ledger developers do not have access to your private keys. I'm not sure where you got that notion from.

If you don't trust Ledger's closed source firmware then you could potentially just do a DIY paper wallet yourself. Generate the private key offline, write down the ETH private key somewhere safe, and store it completely offline.

Or, do a clean install of the OS and the official ETH wallet software on a separate PC that is never connected to the internet. But tbh, a hardware wallet would still be the most convenient way.
Thank you, I perfer to use Official ETH Wallet on seperate PC, Can I store USDT ERC20 token on official ETH wallet? I want to store about 200K$ USDT.

If you wanna store that huge of an amount than I would seriously suggest you to use a hardware wallet because they are one of the safest crypto assets you can buy in my opinion.

You can store your USDT as long as that wallet has supported ERC20 tokens, but the majority of ethereum wallets are supporting ERC20 tokens.

But that's a huge amount and would you try to store your money in the paper wallet and then store it in the cold storage like a fresh HDD or SSD? For me, this is the best way to store your money. You can also store your physical paper wallet as your backup.

You can download the desktop wallet and then make sure your computer is offline and you can generate your paper wallet even without need an internet connection (the safest way).

But this article will help you a lot.

Ledger is the best choice. They have a fair price and usability is on a great level. Besides they have a user friendly interface and as far as I know Ledger is the safest cold wallet, without any detected issues.
Problem with ledger wallet is they are not cold wallet, because they dont give you your private key, and ledger developer have access to your private key which is not safe.
Im looking for a cold wallet with private key.

How often do you have to repeat your wrong info?

Ledger wallet is a cold wallet, and not only because it gives you your private keys but because it is basically an offline wallet. It is a hardware wallet whose private keys and pins and seeds are yours and yours alone. The ledger developers or whoever it is who is connected to the company do not have access to them as you constantly claim.

And why single out Ledger as out of your choice? Why, do you have a specific cold wallet you want to promote?
You wrong, Nano ledger will not give you a private key, they only give you 24 word seed which is compeletly different from Private key.

Ledger will provide you with seed works, using those words you can derive the private key if you want.

Quote
if ledger is a cold wallet than if you lose your hardware ledger wallet than you MUST not be able to have access to your token because by logic all of your token was in that cold wallet, But How legder will able you to have access to your token even if you lose you hardware??

By using your seed words. You can buy new ledger/trezor and import your wallet using your previous seed words, you will be able to retrieve your balances.

Do not spread wrong info please.

Is that really true the ledger developers have access to ledger user's private key ? That will be unsafe indeed if it is true.
how about Trezor wallet ? i know the most popular hard wallet is ledger and trezor. We should be able to export the private key, so we can use it somewhere else in case the wallet broken or lost.

I think many wallets that support USDT ERC20 can have private keys. If you've heard of Atomic Wallet, maybe you can try using this wallet. Atomic Wallet has a private key that can be accessed on the official platform of each coin.

Try a wallet trezor.

It just supports the necessary token and allows them to control through the beta version of their account or through MyEtherWallet. https://trezor.io/coins/

Yes this would be the best option since it looks like OP doesn't really trust the hardware wallets like ledger or trezor.
In MEW you could create tons of wallet and it is up to you on how would you protect it .
I would also suggest paper wallet but I haven't used or tried it before so I don't really know if their safe or what but I like it's idea and it seem's to be so easy to use just don't forget to keep your private key safe.

Hardware wallets does give you your private key, I'm using coolwallet and it will give you your seed phrase for the initial set up but will no longer show it afterwards, so you will need to secure and type it somewhere. All these hardware wallets are also supporting majority of the coins in the market and as someone who always go for bounties and new style of airdrops which guarantees rewards than the usual ones, I really prefer hardware wallets so that it will have all types of coins (ERC20, BTC, etc.) all together.

I love trezor and ledger too and I believe that they're providing their key phrase as well, and you should not worry about them getting your private keys, devs don't do that.

You should consider hardware wallet like trezor, it fully supports tether stable coin and you will have access to your fund with the recovery seed youve been given, if you want private key then you have to use iancoleman to derive your private key out, though it won't be easy for newbies but its not impossible

I will also suggest Ledger wallet, as indicated on their website for supported coins it's the USDT ERC20 token.

https://www.ledger.com/tether-wallet/
Just choose the variant from Ledger Nano S or X. Ledger wallet is one of the safest hardware wallet ever.
Guys ledger nano s or x is NOT A COLD WALLET, because they dont give you private key, that mean they can have access to your wallet any time they want, Im looking for cold wallet with private key.
