I still don't understand how it's our problem.
It will not be a problem unless you are a freelancer. And also if you are aware of the terms of freelancer.com By sharing those information freelancers (workers) will be at risk of considering a breach of terms at the same time the data can be used to abuse.

And asking such information in a form/weblink does not mean the project is a scam or trying to steal your information. I have been in lead generation for long time in one of my business, I can tell you that any legit company is not going to take the path
Freelancer.com is the site where anyone can post a job. So, freelancers will not allow joining anywhere (knowingly) outside of freelancer.com. On the website, anyone can hire a freelancer for the purpose of the lead collection but they will not allow collecting the contact information of freelancers (workers).

I would have a little amount of sympathy for them if they would at least care to add crypto in their site.
If they could add crypto then it could be a milestone for the cryptocurrency.

I don't think it's a scam accusation topic at all. You did not like their process does not mean they are scammer.
The project is to post images and the job post has been posted on freelancer.com those who are interested apply for the project. So, those who are qualified can be selected from there. They should not need to apply to any other place. Freelancer on freelancer.com is not allowing to offshore communication and if freelancer.com can see such a message we have sent you an email/WhatsApp but did not receive a reply or anything such type of message on/after sharing information then freelancer.com will suspend the account of the contractor(worker/freelancer).

And applying on the post out of freelancer means they are taking the worker out of freelancer.com and that doesn't support by the freelancer. So, those who are working on freelancer.com will be losers by sharing this type of information even if the project is legit though I think the project is fake.
I still don't understand how it's our problem. Let freelancer to deal with it. And asking such information in a form/weblink does not mean the project is a scam or trying to steal your information. 1. It's time consuming simply not worth the try.
2. Low quality leads eventually will not convert to sell anything for them.

The only thing they did wrong is to violate the terms of Freelance which is again their (Freelancers) problem. They are not going to care about any of us or will share a portion from the 20% or 25% fees they cut from the freelancers who work their ass off and built the platform to make them millionaires.

I would have a little amount of sympathy for them if they would at least care to add crypto in their site.

it looks like the job offer has already been taken down.

I have just checked and seen the job post has been deleted. But it is a matter of sorrow the user has not yet been banned and also might not be banned as the maximum user reports against the project only. The user has two open projects. I will update that here if I can find out the project link.

@shasan, it's great that you're bringing attention to these questionable practices. They clearly violate the terms and conditions of the freelancing platform, and it looks like the job offer has already been taken down.

I think it's important to be vigilant and bring to light any instances of fraud or unethical behavior. By doing so, we can help protect others from falling victim to similar schemes.

I don't get it.
There are hundreds of ads for call center jobs, for virtual assistants, if you accept the job wouldn't you at one point still have to provide them all the data they ask for, phone, skype, email, name? The guy seemed legit, you said no, he said ok and that's it if his target was to gather your data he would have probably insisted, and furthermore, probably had made a far more attractive ad and offer, right?
Freelancers may share a few pieces of information which is after a prior relationship. That means after accepting the project and also only for the service providing. Not for communication. If there is any communication out of freelancer.com and they can understand/know about that then they will suspend the account without thinking twice.

I don't think it's a scam accusation topic at all. You did not like their process does not mean they are scammer. How it's even related to crypto 🤪?

Will your next accusation be against Google.com?
They are showing fake sites on search results.

The next accusations are to all those adsense blogger?
They are creating stupid sites in stupid niches to drive traffic on their websites.

I am not discouraging to create scam accusations but creating topics for something like this and even it has nothing to do with bitcoin, bitcointalk is just not making a point for me.
