Thug for life!
I hope some good ideas come out of it, instead of the ' Using Bitcoin'.
I would say that it is likely the same kind of ideas will come out of it as the kinds of ideas that are likely to come out of MIT as a result of students receiving $100 worth of bitcoin. More likely then not a lot of meodeoacre ideas will come out of it, but hopefully one or two "game changers" will also result.

I welcome these kind of news because that's how bitcoin's spread around and more people learn how to use it.And furthermore,I'm sure students there who really like bitcoin are really looking forward to making a project about it.

this is true I'm glad they are pushing the Bitcoin projects and new projects related inside education.

They should consider giving 12 btc instead of pound. Anyway if they come up with a solution to address all the weaknesses particularly on the mining part, the person will deserve more than that.

It's not just any college either. Imperial College is one of the leading engineering schools in Europe. A bit like the MIT of Europe, and this therefore is a pretty big deal.

I have very high respect for Imperial College London, I myself went to University College London and if you have looked at the world rankings for universities in the last few years, you'll see these two universities really holding their own especially with the notoriety of Cambridge and Oxford.

It wasn't that long ago that some student used the college computers to make a nice buck mining doge coin. Overall, such a respected place like IC making stands for BTC is truly encouraging news.

Well this is the sort of initiatives that might keep the BTC on the global market for the coming days. Hope other colleges should follow this example very soon.

A college in London has agreed to offer academic credits for Bitcoin-related projects. A fund has also been set up; three thousand pounds for the best Bitcoin project. This is helping students studying there by motivating them to start Bitcoin related projects.
