There was one University that was considering giving all it's students a small amount of bitcoin. There are also a number of Universities where you can pay your fees in bitcoins.

Most of the kids at my local university are more focused on dogecoin. Not really sure if that is a good or a bad thing.

It is good since any coin progress is good for the rest. What worries me, is how wil be when Doge will disappoint all. Then they might think, all the rest coins are just like Doge.

I am a senior electrical engineer in college. I have asked other students around campus what they though of bitcoin. To my surprise, most of them had never actually heard of it. Even in the engineering department, people might have heard about it but don’t know how it works or how to use it. The few people that I have talked to who have heard of it and know what it is are too scared to use it. They think they will get in trouble or arrested for using it. Even when I have explained to them that it is not illegal, they have no interest because of the decentralization of it. I am in the USA by the way.

I am completely amazed how obedient the average college student is to the system. If they read on the news that bitcoin is bad, then they don’t question it for one second. I though college students would be the most interested in this technology but I am wrong. They are actually the most scared. It is the older people between the ages 30 to 50 that seem to be the most intrigued.

I feel the bitcoin future is not looking to good because the current college student population is getting less intelligent and more obedient. College students should be the next generation of success but I believe times have changed and if we hope for bitcoin adoption in the future, then we have to work hard for it.
