Other SMF forums I'm on have a "Report to Moderator" button in the lower right corner of each posts. That can be turned on and off by the admin, so they could easily provide what you are looking for if they want to.

That user seems alright to me. If he's a spammer, he at least took the effort to understand Bitcoin. Even if his posts are not useful, they're not off-topic or disruptive, either.

I'm always logged in to several IM networks when I'm online (which is often). Feel free to message me about forum spam.

There should be an easy way to tag a post, thread, or user, as spam, with a comment, to bring it to moderators' attention. As it is, there seems to be no way at all to do that other than finding a moderator to PM, which is inefficient.

At the very least... with zero extra development effort, we could maybe set up a thread where people can post to report spam posts/threads/users, that moderators should review regularly.

I nominate this thread. Smiley

And I start by pointing out this user: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/--3108
he seems to have just registered and posted some inane posts, just to get some links in his sig pointing to some hyip stuff out there.
