I really am surprised to see the vitriol directed at dogecoin on this thread. Doge wasn't built for profit and the charitable/altruistic initiatives it has supported continues in this spirit.

The rationale behind its limitless prod was sound to me and further strengthened its ideals.

And yes, interested to know what has been scammy about the coin.

I can see some of the people in this forum definitely think that dogecoin is a scam. To know how they came to this conclusion we must first learn about the history of dogecoin. All I know about dogecoin's history is limited, so I ask, what did the dogecoin founder do to scam the community?

The word scam here is sometimes taken out of context. I would like to know what kind of "scam" dogecoin is. Did the founders have a secret premine?

DOGE was the OP of scam,

that said it is a nugget of legit market cap of $20 to $25 M,
so it is in the strong hands stage,
tech wise it has proven valid,
market wise it is universal,

Doge brought a lot more ppl into crypto. I was a critic at the start but came around to it. Shame it's died off. I was shocked that everyone just agreed to the fork for unlimited supply that destroyed it's price I guess.

Some super generous people used to be in that community. Sure they may have got the coins for practically nothing but most people don't give btc's worth of coins out for free.

Hope the community can revive it above some of these other scams that have risen above it.

I sold most of what i had left at the last 100sats pump luckily after cryptsy made me convert all my btc into it at 40 sats so not bad there.

I'm jumping back in at 20-25 sats level.

community launced new charity. I don't know yet if there's
still a hope in this coin.

I think this is good news. Doge benefitted the crypto community as a whole when they did things like sponsor the Jamaican bob-sled team and Nascar drivers. It brought worldwide publicity to cryptocurrency and removed the idea that it was just about gambling and dark nets (which was the image bitcoin had).

I wish them luck and I hope the doge price has a boost on the back of this.

Dogecoin has stuck around because a lot of sites use it for gambling,
and people use it to transfer funds or store funds since the price hasn't seemed to change much recently,
but you can still buy or sell coins on some of the exchanges.

I would be careful before I donated to any "charity" but maybe these guys can help some people out with their project.

Doge is a shitty coin and it was a joke to begin with and the price is going to die and all that other things, they are all true and we all know it but that doesn't change the fact about the community that it inspired on the internet (although i haven't been seeing much activity lately) and all the other charitable things like that Africa thing they did!

Dogecoin community, this is the first time I will hear it, what was the last update on dogecoin, to me it seems the project has been deserted and just looking to create another cosmetic awareness just to gain attention.
