Hi guys, today there are a lot of L1 blockchains. Which L1 blockchain do you think is the best and why?
For example, here are 4 of my favorites:

Polkadot (Block time: 6 sec, Tx Finality: 60 sec, Transactions per Second: up to +100k, Average Tx Fee 0.50$)

Cosmos (Block time: 1 sec, Tx Finality: 3-6 sec, Transactions per Second: 10k, Average Tx Fee 0.03$)

NEAR (Block time: 1 sec , Tx Finality: 2-3 sec, Transactions per Second: up to 100k , Average Tx Fee 0.02$)

Solana (Block time: 0.4 sec, Tx Finality: 60 sec, Transactions per Second: up to 100k, Average Tx Fee 0.01$)
This is a very well thought out post. Frankly, I think NEAR has the best tech out of all of those posted because it has an account based system with user readable names, does not require metamask and multiple confirmations like Solana, it has faster finality than Solana and Polkadot, it can scale faster than all of the other blockchains with horizontal sharding, it's cardbon neutral, NEAR has the only 100% trustless bridge, NEAR has appchains like Polkadot with Octopus appchains, and it can run the EVM with Aurora. I should also add that Ref Finance AMM on NEAR already has 100 million dollars in TVL and there is a 800 million USD grant program for developers, which is higher than every other chain except Hedera.

I would add MINA, 1-Layer blockchain, to the list.
1)    The first cryptocurrency with a succinct blockchain.
2)    Blockchain compressed from 100s of GBs (as seen in existing protocols) down to kBs in size.
3)    Scalable, secure, and decentralized.
4)    Allows for verification of the blockchain on a mobile phone.

I believe that as long as it is better than ethereums then all there is left to do is the marketing part of it. I mean DOT and SOL are the two better known ones Cosmos is not unknown neither, I am not sure if I know the NEAR one. However looking at the situation in all of them it is clear that as long as they are secure that means there is really no difference between them.

So let's assume you have to buy a house, and the house is 200k dollars worth, one bank offers you 300k as max they can, which only 200k you will get a loan so the extra 100k is useless, then the other offers 400k, then another offers 500k and another offers a million. Does that really matter? In all of them you will get 200k loan, rest is useless and doesn't matter to you, sure the one that offers a million dollars attracts your attention but in reality it doesn't matter. Whichever does better marketing will be at the top.

Polygon should be on that list. Quite a bit more decentralized than Solana, tiny fees, fast TPS, lots of usage. Can't speak on investment, but very good utility.

Nothing lasts forever
Solana is my personal favourite from the list. The only 1st layer blockchain which takes less than a second to get a confirmed transaction.
Along with the high TPS it has the lowest fees. Some would argue that it is not completely decentralized which is true but it is still very early.
In fact it is still more decentralized than other comparative blockchains. Everyone has a perspective and Solana is the best in mine.

If we saw these comparation, i have no doubt solana is the best in term of transaction fees and also its the fastes blockchain now. Its community also getting bigger and bigger. The second blockchain i think its polkadot.

IMO, based on your list I'll go for Solana because I'm using it already, for average users like me, each cent that I was spent on each transaction is important that's why I'm using it, aside from Solana I was also using the L2 solution and temporarily stop using Ethereum because I feel robbed every time I send ERC20 tokens on Ethereum network, Ethereum has become a whale type kind of blockchain and slowly corrupted that's why I'm not using it anymore. and for me, Solana can be a game-changer for decentralized or centralized it was just my second priority.

I am a real fan of Polkadot. It is not as cheap as other Blockchains in your list, nevertheless, I think that it is worth our attention. It uses several payment channels instead of one. It provides this chain with an ability to run several transactions at the same moment.

What is more, Polkadot is a blockchain that gives space to other Blockchains to launch on it, while other networks support only Defi-projects, so Polkadot is the most interesting blockchain  in terms of technology I think.  Cool

Uhhm looking from the list they are almost the same no much differences checking from the TPS & transaction fees, I have always loved how solana works, and would have said it my favourite blockchain, Buh I think $Near it's better, not too long I found about it's blockchain have seen more reason to dig deep, $Near stands to be the most friendly blockchain so far making everything about blockchain so seamless.
Countless of it's fast transaction speed & low gas fees, $Near is planning to lunch a Nightshade to boost the potentials of it's blockchain, so for me I think Near has a lot to offer as they are still new

You're comparing TPS and fees ratio from every block projects. It seems like it doesn't matter a lot in comparison of 1st layer of blockchain. The fact that if what kind of blockchain that you're using it will not give a lot of differences.
I think it would be good if you're taking another aspect as your consideration. In my opinion if these days 1st or 2nc layer solution will always have almost the same spec. I would prefer to pick solana from that list caused by it was the most decentralized blockchain from your list. Another 1st layer blockchain other than solana has less nodes compared with solana. This is also the cheapest blockchain as well.
Solana is not only having good TPS but it also has good hype and community. How good blockchain can be measured from the various aspects.

You should probably prioritize network security and decentralization when you're trying to asses which one is the better chain. Bitcoin is the best by far in these categories.

TPS and transaction fee could come in second or third. I personally do not care which chain has the higher TPS or cheaper fees since they shouldn't be that far from each other. You can simply choose one of these more centralized chains for your daily transactions and forget the rest.
