Yes, I think this would be a very good idea. It would be interesting to see whether say all privacy coins are correlated in price.   If you wanted to commercialise it you could offer index funds in each sector.
I think they do, though this my opinion is subjective and will like to see more analytical data to back this up, reason being that most of these Privacy coins do pump together

Exactly! I kind of started wondering after I read a bunch of whitepapers and so many claimed to be planning to do the same things. The I was researching small caps and realized that there quite a few that don't really do anything in particular other than offer POS, for instance. I used to trade in the stock exchange and stocks are broken down by sector which is very helpful because quite often certain sectors change rapidly as economics change. I was considering it as maybe something that could give Coinmarketcap a run for it's money.

I had this idea to separate all of the Altcoins and tokens into sectors and set up a chart for each sectors showing similarities of plans or platforms and also what sets each one apart. I definitely need some help doing this. I see it being beneficial to the community to have an easy to view layout since I am seeing many of the same ideas being thrown out such as decentralized exchanges or new platforms for ICOs and they all claim to be original and first movers...but really it's all a huge jumble as to who is doing what.

Does this sound like something that would benefit the community?
