What is the single most important factor when you invest your BTC?  Dividends?  Thanks for your feedback...  Smiley

If you want something different try this, it has nothing to do with mining or pirate.

As of today I am also fully verified by GLBSE

I'd be interested in both investing in a long term btc project and working on it. I have extensive financial experience

I'm particularly interested in building something of value for the Bitcoin community which will lead to further adoption of the standard.  Hence an investment in my security would be an investment in Bitcoin.  I'm located in the NYC area.  If anyone is interested in joining forces on a project I'd love to hear from you.

Bonus points if it doesn't have to do with mining or pirate -- I've already made my decisions in these fields and GLBSE is frankly over-saturated by them.

Nothing against either, but it's hard for new upstarts to compete when there are so many options already. I'm up for new ideas.
Hard to compete, and like I said I've made my choices. There's mining shares, bonds, and MOORE bonds which get deterministically better. As for pirate, there's dividend ones and ones which are bought back at a higher price. I've found what I consider to be the best deals in both and I've taken them. Additionally, even if your plan is 0.01 BTC / Mhash/s, buying pressure is sure to bring the price up.

I echo those comments. Given the anonymous nature of the currency, forum and GLBSE, such attributes / behaviours are key to any long term success.

Yes, it would make it much more desirable than the practices used by f.ex. Obsi.HRPT.
The more transparent it is, the lower risk it is (well, it diminishes one risk factor at least) and the higher I'd be willing to pay for a share. Of course, the business behind it matters; if you plan on picking up bottles on the side of the road and returning them for a nickel a pop, I'll politely decline Wink

I am interested in creating a completely transparent security with voting rights.  All info would be verified and communication would be prompt and open.

Does this hold any value with investors?  I have a number of ideas but I'd like to gauge interest in such a project.

Thanks.
