I'll have a supercomputer chip implanted right on my penis. Then, when I'm thinking with my other head I'll be smarter rather than dumber.
Technically Getting a Implant on Penis will be harder because the size of penis changes atleast 10 times a day so it will be hard to manage a chip inside. getting it in ass or Vagina will work though Tongue

Well it will be cool to make computers on this way lol Smiley
Mostly computers will go to size of smartphones, or something like that but here is my idea.
I love big screens (desktop and laptops), so it will be cool to have smartphone size cube - device, which could change shape and size to bigger - on Lego way (like transformers). That will be cool Smiley

Computers would be everywhere, even inside your body monitoring your bloodpressure, sugar , your heart and analyzing your blood, urine and stool and giving real time data to your doctor. Computers would be connected directly to your brain, you can text, email, watch tv, browsing the net by just thinking it.
And then our brain computers get viruses

MAY BE THIS WILL GIVE RISE TO ZOMBIE ERA

They will be the size of a house, and only a few of the worlds super powers will be able to own/run them due to their cost. Thats how i see computers going.
we are talking about how its gonna be in 2030 not 1930. Nice try you trying to being sarcastic here :p.
but its gonna be totally opposite to what the reality will look like the size will reduce to size that one can Implant the chips into body .

Nope, no sarcasm here, they will grow to such a size there will only be 10 computers, each one so powerful it will run multiple software at a time.

Or if it goes how you say, they will get smaller until we break moore's law and unless we find a better way of doing things we could hit wall and see no major increase.

When was last time you upgraded your hardware....  Roll Eyes

I tried, by the time i get the cards made, the block has moved on. Kind of annoying, i dont know how these big machines can punch out the cards so far to mine the blocks.

Sorry took me time to reply, I had to change tape to get the browser to reload.

Cheesy hahahaha

Excuse me while I try to mine the next block on my punchcard machine Tongue

and how does everyone think all this stuff is going to be powered the energy generation capacity is not going to increase fast enough to cover the usage unless they start some real work on alternative ways to make power without polluting everything

Already our civilization runs on code. Your cars are probably full of computers. The way food and resources get to where you are, the engine of the boats for the ideal fuel mixture, the planning of trips according to different criteria, the farm database.

Everything that is possible today is possible because of PCs.

I think we'll integrate with PCs a lot.

We'll probably have a personal OS on us that helps us with everything and probably robot helpers all over the place.

Hmm I guess time travel is possible and somehow You went back to year 1950, take a jump to 2014 you'll njoy . and will change your perception about the future tech :p

Cant use my computer and time machine at the same time, my computer draws to much power and would blow the grid here. Soo guess i'll have to keep with my views.

Really?
Should we buy a lot cheap laptops then and wait till 2030 and sell them like $10k each?
That would be good investment if your predictions come true.
But I'm not going to buy them because I don't agree with you.

Has anybody here seen the movie "Her"?  Because the world they show there seems like smth that might happen to us in 30 years. And such thing as falling in love with damn Siri (even though its just weird) will be a common thing.  Undecided

It's probably closer than we even think. Once something like that starts it can accelerate quite fast. Just like in the movie.

I don't think it is scary, I think it is awesome!
I saw article about that we could get infinite life in future, that would be super awesome!

Mobile phones are already far beyond the intelligence of any human being.

WHOA!  Smiley  Phones are not more intelligent than humans - nothing is, yet.

Did you mean to say phones have more processing power than a brain?
This isn't correct. If you look at this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/10567942/Supercomputer-models-one-second-of-human-brain-activity.html
you'd see that computers have a long way to become equal to the brain.

I thought Her was a pretty good movie. I know this is way off topic, but Theodore mostly fell in love with Sammantha because they had the same image or 'likes' of the world. Of course, this is because Theo basically made her.

Time to get on topic:

Doesn't that 'love' come with some devices, though? I'm not talking of love in the sense of the movie, but I was pretty much in love with every gaming computer I made. The people who made the Internet had to love their finish product.

Most of the computing power won't be in hand-held devices as we'll reach a physical limit on carrying around processing power. However, most power will come from the ability of networking. Pretty much, the device you hold in your hand will be a giant antenna that's meant to decode video and send touch. Pretty much, I see VDI being the future for both desktops and mobile devices.

No, I think he was being quite literal. I for one can vouch for him.

Seriously, most of the users aren't more intelligent than their phone. The phone could beat them in most things if given the right tools.

I've given up on society's use of phones as being something constructive. They're used for useless "selfie" photo shoots with unrelated descriptions, they type faster with two thumbs than they do with two whole hands (12 WPM on a computer vs. 34 WPM on a phone) and feel they are entitled to the next phone that comes out. You would still get the monkies coming back even if Apple or Samsung (Or whoever) yanked their prices 10-fold, and guess what would happen to the national household debt?

The person who made smartphones was a genius. Get all the zombies hooked, make em feel entitled, jack the price far beyond manufacturing cost, and bam! He's a billionaire, at the least having a few dozen million dollars.

The next generation is going to be horid, but the smart people will take advantage and rule over the masses of phone addicts.

I'm not even kidding Sad

Moore's law predicts that the number of discrete elements on a square-inch silicon integrated circuit will double every two years. While it's not exactly a direct relationship, you can interpret that to mean that computers will double in processing power every two years. That means in the years between 2010 and 2050, computer processing power will double 20 times if Moore's law holds true.

Let's talk only the positive features for now. It clearly outweigh the negatives. Imagine watching 3d porn on your mind It would look very real. Virtual reality worlds would be made possible using this technology, think you are inside of matrix. I'm sure there are always antivirus that can protect your brain computer.

I hope computers don't take over the world. If they don't i hope they run at 30000 fps. I hope they are powerful and amazing, and can make me a hot chocolate with marshmallows as i'm playing video games!!!!

That would be a robot - not a computer.   Wink

Seriously though, computers will be everywhere by 2030, if they haven't already taken over.

Computing units are everywhere today. My oven has a cpu, my timed light switch does also have a small one etc etc. More and more house machines are starting to have processing units for their own. Maybe in some years we'll live in a house that every device in it has it's own intelligence. Witch might not be that brilliant, but still. This technology progresses so fast.
