Hey,

I ran out of 6- pin connectors and wattage on my PSU so I bought two PCI risers. Now I've bought one more power supply but I'm in doubt about how to make the connections.

So I should short the pins on the motherboard connector of PSU but is it a problem to power the "external" GPU before booting the motherboard or can I just short the pins, power the external GPU and then boot the PC?

Is there anything else I should do or consider before making the connection? I'm powering directly to the 6-pin on riser without molex adapter and also powering the GPU I'm using with 6-pin.

Thanks in advance  Smiley
