Hey Guys,
I am new to this forum.
Situation: I have a A8 ASIC running on a Corsair 750W PSU, this works great and I got rid of the super loud server PSU.
Now I have a Baikal N+ Asic, that I would like to connect to that PSU.
The A8 draws around 300W, so that PSU can definitly handle another 120W.
Almost all my PCI-e (8 connectors) slots are used by the A8, but I still have 4 peripheral slots over (6 connectors).
As I understand those peripheral slots supply 12V and 75W max. The Baikal has 3 hashing boards with a 120W total, should be no problem with 3 connectors, 40W each.
But... when I connect the Baikal to that PSU, the PSU doesnt want to start. When I disconnect the Baikal, the thing starts and boots up my A8 ASIC.
The peripheral slots on that PSU are to supply power to PC components, like the Molex connectors.
Am I missing something here? I dont understand why the PSU does not want to boot with the Baikail connected.
All the data sheets I find online state I have enough power to connect the thing.
