So far nothing has been official about the fight getting postponed
I saw several articles earlier and there's an update regarding Conor Mcgregor VS Michael Chandler, it looks like the fight between the two fighters has now been officially cancelled and the main reason for the cancellation of the fight was due to the injury Conor Mcgregor suffered. also, the main event of UFC 303 has now been changed and two fighters fighting in the main event is Alex Pereira and Jiří Procházka

The Fight has been officially canceled, McGregor didn't give a reason, they only say it was a decision from his medics, which really sucks, it would be great to see him back on the octagon, i was ready to bet against him, lol.

Dana White mentioned something about Conor, he said maybe Conor will never fight again, but no one knows...

So, Conor's fight got canceled and Tayson's fight got Canceled too.. Those ones would be the fights of the year, too bad.

I wouldn’t bet on Conor Mcgregor (and I won’t Smiley), because all that’s left of that Conor Mcgregor who crushed his opponents in the octagon is his big name. Now this is not a fighter, but first and foremost a businessman who performs in the ring for money (primarily).

But... out of curiosity, I compared the statistics of these two fighters and will say that, in principle, the statistics of the fights of Conor Mcgregor and Michael Chandler are almost the same. One has a couple more fights, the other has losses, and so on. Michael Chandler has more defeats and, most importantly, he gave up many times, unlike Conor Mcgregor, who, moreover, is 3 years younger.

You know, it seems to me that Conor Mcgregor has a good chance of winning this meeting of fighters, because he has some advantage. Because even the coefficients are almost equal.

But I would bet on a draw. Smiley

If he loses again he will be like Ronda Rousey and switch to WWE. lol.

Even in WWE, he will be booed. I'm sure he already felt he is losing fans after that leg. This fight is of no significance but because Conor is popular, people still want to see him. He can indeed draw a crowd to sell out tickets which Dana would still try to book him for contract extension if this is successful.

For the two old dudes, Chandler needed this fight and Conor needed this too. Conor still has 2 fights in his UFC contract, not sure who his next be but maybe Dustin Poirier.

@Ognasty & to everybody above him who are stating that the fight still might be off:

Then why did the UFC Official youtube channel just released (think it is the same one circulating) the promotional video less than half an hour ago if the fight was cancelled?

I was right, the Conor drama is real, he knows how to capture the attention of the media. And it was all about that. He is just making nice, but the fight will happen, that's a fact, he needs the money and that's a big reason not to cancel it.

That injury he suffered was hard to watch, so I would agree with you on that and I would bet against him. I'm happy for his return but I'm not anymore expecting the same him after years of resting in sport and with that injury he suffered during his last match. I'm even surprise with the odds, I guess this could attract some gamblers to bet on him because we can't deny he is really popular.

If he losses in his return, I think he won't fight again, and instead will just focus on making a movie.

His broken leg didn't just give him physical damage, there is psychological damage too because he is afraid to see that happening again, and is vulnerable, we can be sure about Chandler kicking that leg again and again.

If he loses again he will be like Ronda Rousey and switch to WWE. lol.

In my opinion, McGregor will lose this fight because the injury he suffered several years ago was quite serious and that will more or less affect his performance in this fight. Moreover, the opponent that McGregor faces this time is one of the toughest opponents.

People in the comments are happy that they did this as it would mean the fight is going to happen afterall the ruckas over the past week.

Wasn't this fight canceled already ? Because I don't see anything official regarding this fight and with press conference being canceled

The fight still announced on the site as you can see here:

https://www.ufc.com/event/ufc-303

And the fact that casinos let you bet on it means the fight hasn't been canceled yet. But there is a lot of speculation in the ambient, people are skeptical about this fight happening, and there are a lot of rumors but nothing verified, as you mention, the fact that they canceled the press conference is a hard signal that something is wrong here. But maybe is just marketing, they are trying to generate suspense.

Conor released a statement on social media yesterday and then instantly deleted it, but someone recorded it for people to hear.  Conor was saying how this fight isn't cancelled, he just does whatever he wants and when the fight arrives he'll be there and will emerge the winner.  I don't know if this was a drug fueled delusional rant, or if he's really going to fight.  I suspect the former, but I'd like to be surprised.  As a fan of McGregor in his heyday, I don't even care if he gets his career ended again.  I just want to see the guy do what he was born to do, fight.

McGregor has once been known for being a trash talker but he actually did great and showed his martial arts skill in the ring. He is a beast before but nothing lasts forever after suffering terrible losses from Dusten Poirier. I thought that would be his last fight and he deserves retirement in this field but we can't hold onto him and his plan.

Well, even if the fight pushed through, I couldn't think he would win this fight. What happened to him against Poirier has a huge impact on his career and fighting style. It is for sure it is totally different from those days when he was totally physically fit and had no major injuries. Therefore, I bet Chandler, has a bigger chance of winning over McGregor.

Wasn't this fight canceled already ? Because I don't see anything official regarding this fight and with press conference being canceled , I think we can safely say the fight won't happen. After all , why would McGregor comeback to fight ? he is beyond rich and doesn't need to prove anything to anyone.

However , if Dana will make something magical , maybe we will see this fight but for now the silence about UFC 303 speaks for itself.

I don’t think this fight is happening. They cancelled it. According to Dana White Conor injured his shin during a sparring match and will be unable to fight. Whether or not they reschedule it I believe is an unknown, but with Conor having a fresh injury right before his comeback, I think we may never see Conor in the cage ever again.

Yes, the fight is already postponed in the last minute and there are a lot of speculations as why suddenly it was scrapped.

1. Conor is injured
2. Conor failed a drug test
3. Contract negotiations with Dana and the UFC

But if any chance this fight goes as plan, I will go with Chandler, ring rust might be a big factor for Conor here as he has been out for 3 years and it's not going to be easy even for a fighter of his caliber to make an adjustment right away and become his old version in the Octagon.

So far nothing has been official about the fight getting postponed, there is a lot of news and speculation about it, even one of the last photos from Conor was at the hospital and that only makes us think the worst, but Dana White hasn't made public the announcement about the cancelation. which makes me feel some hope, maybe all this drama is part of the Conor drama, we all know how he loves to make noise before a fight.

Several years ago, Connor McGregor was very great UFC fighter and he became one of the best fighters the UFC has ever had, but after everything he had achieved and was at the top, he looked very arrogant and so arrogant that he thought all his opponents could be defeated easily.
But in reality he made truly fatal mistake, the last fight meant that Connor McGregor had to be willing to lose his career as UFC fighter and he decided to retire early while recovering from his injury.
Now he looks very strong and has completely recovered from all the injury problems he experienced, Connor is even confident enough to return to fighting and try his strength in rebuilding his career in the UFC.
In his return Connor has shown who his opponent will be and seeing his current condition giving the odds for both of them almost equal, maybe some people will find it difficult to really predict who the winner will be.
But I personally honestly think it is much more dominant to make Connor the favorite, he has started training sessions since his injury started to heal and Connor has definitely regained all his fighting skills, this gives confidence in making Connor the winner.

Who remembers when the Khabib vs Ferguson fight was cancelled 5 times. This doesn't come as a surprise to me at all. And if he is injured I'd rather him recover and come back better than fighting injured like last time. Now that the fight is cancelled, what fights are they going to pull together to make up for it?

i'd bet on chandler connor isn't really a good fighter he used to be but i'm pretty damn sure he still got the energy to trashtalk people like what he did with his fight against poirier.
i'm eager to see how he's gonna perform after long hiatus but i just have the gut feeling that he gonna underperform, but i'm more pumped to see him eventually fight with poirier again he said its not over then we'll see

hopefully this will not be cancelled the odds pretty close to each other i'm sure because we just don't have the data about how well connor perform thing will adjust if he still retain his capability tho.

that's a shame, I would have liked to see him fight in the octagon again. I am curious, which leg shin was injured? is it the leg that broke during his last match?

I just took a look at the odds in Stake and we have:

Mcgregor x1.94
Chandrel x1.87
knowing Mcgreggor's injury and the last time he fought, I am a bit surprised that the odds is higher than chandler.

If Conor comes out without injury and the fight still happens, this must be the oddest way to promote the fight. He use to talk shit all the time to promote every match he made. But seeing he is out of shape, out of training, he likely can't last 1 round of rumble this is not an easy fight for him and he knows it. He wil be ridiculed by MMA fans if he loses against Michael Chandler by KO.

Previously many people were looking forward to McGregor comeback to the octagon, but unfortunately it had to be delayed again after a few years we waited for the notorious to return, the last time I saw McGregor fight was when he was defeated quite brutally by Khabib and after that of course he no longer has great fighting power in my opinion especially after he continues to get injured.  Some time ago, Dana White has confirmed that McGregor still has 2 more fights in his contract with the UFC and McGregor busy filming forced the UFC to find the right time and opponent for mcGregor final fight in the UFC.

I think the UFC 303 fight between mcgregor and michael chandler will be a very exciting fight because indeed mcgregor will of course be very savage to beat michal chandler to show other fighters if mcGregor is not over, I think with the cancellation of the press conference it is clear if there is indeed something that is an obstacle for the fight to be played,  But I think maybe the fight is just postponed and will probably be played when the two are ready to fight.

Connor's last fight was almost three years ago I thought he was retired there are rumors of fights against Pacquiao but did not push through I don't know his condition now while Chandler is a fresher one having fought 18 months ago.
I prefer to go with Chandler after the Poirier fight Connor is not the same again, and once you have broken your legs this may have a long-term impact on your performance, but the fight could go either way it's just hard to assess Connor's performance now.

It has been a long time since the last fight of Conor in UFC and we know how bad it went, he ended with a broken leg, and now he is back to fight in the Octagon.

I followed his career from the start, and it was amazing to see his KO power, he used to be one of those fighters who used to KO his opponents in the first round, but the fame and the alcohol destroyed him, and now he isn't the fighter that he used to be in the past.

I just took a look at the odds in Stake and we have:

Mcgregor x1.94
Chandrel x1.87

So, i would like to know what the community thinks about this fight.

Would you bet on Mcgregor?
How do you think that fight will end?
