I've had posts deleted, and I put it down to the fact that not everyone understands the subtlety of English humour. It hasn't been the same since the Americans took the "u" out of it. Smiley

I've had probably five or so posts deleted as well, and in self-moderated posts, so I can only assume that these posts were deleted because OP didn't like the comments (I don't believe I indulge in trolling much, but like most here, we can be overly cynical).

This all happened when I was  newbie and junior member too, and hasn't happened since turning regular member... I'd not worry about it at all=)

Thanks for the explanation, Lauda.  It sounds like I'm not in imminent danger yet, then, but I shall try to curb my clever moments for a while to give that (those) moderator(s) chance to forget about me  Smiley

Just for clarity though, I'd like to ask how many more deleted posts would put me in danger of being banned?
There is no way to exactly give you an answer on this. For example, we could have two situations:
1) A section moderator / a moderator without banning privileges deleted your post(s): It is up to them whether they want to report you to someone who can ban users or not. If they do, then it is up to the person handing out the bans whether they want to ban you or not.
2) A moderator / admin with banning privileges has deleted your post(s): Now it is directly up to them whether they will ban you or not.

Generally, in the case of *seemingly genuine* person who does not participate in signature campaigns a warning is usually handed out first.

I don't want to be over-dramatic here and I'm sure that 6 posts deleted by moderators out of 208 really isn't bad in the grand scheme of things, but given that 5 of those posts have been deleted in the past week for being off-topic, I can't help but wonder how many lives I've used up.  I know it's entirely my own fault because I can't resist hitting the submit button when I think I have a "clever" reply Tongue so I will try harder on the self-censorship.

Just for clarity though, I'd like to ask how many more deleted posts would put me in danger of being banned?  I'm not in a sig campaign as I know my post quality won't stand up to too much scrutiny, but I'd hate to get myself branded a spammer anyway.
