That's fucking shit, Nigeria is not so much of a poor country if not for the selfish politicians in the country.  If Nigeria had a very strong system where they would want to support their own and make sure they provide every necessary equipment for the institutions that needs it, do you think there are no good scientist in the country that can  analyze the active components of that HIV vaccine, produce it and test-run it on the virus?

I did a professional course in the university, during my years of study, I did realize that my country are lacking so many equipment in their labs, which there are so many experiments in regards to chemistry and medicals that are being done outside the country. I believe Nigeria as a country also lacks some of this equipments. If the government can sponsor it, they can do things on their own.

Well, let's see how things goes tho, but other poor countries will also suffer it, not just Nigeria.

As I know our country Nigeria precisely has the capacity to do whatever they want and they must not depend on any nation for funding, come to think of this where is our resources going? What do you think they have done for the country nothing except embezzling and looting our nation resources. In fact I am even more happier with the way the US are now changing becoming more strict to Nigerian and I wish they would also place laws or restrictions to Nigerian leaders so that they could come fixed their country properly.

They damaged their country and go to others people country for medical treatments, what happened to their country and why can't they fixed their country to be like that which they are running, just take how backwards is Nigerian. Anyone gaining Visa to go into now seems to be the highest achievement and even as that flying to outside country now looks like they are above everyone like I don't know what is the difference if someone go abroad. Meanwhile we have the Capacity and resources to change our system of life within just 2-4 years with disciplines.

Which country is funding the US ?
Eh get this song wey our popular female musician Omawunmi sing wey I go use reply those your questions (if you as me, na who I go ask) this matter on ground is very serious and it's so shameful that Nigeria as a country with all the mineral resources is still depending on U.S for HIV drug funding, that's to tell you how incompetent and wicked our politicians are, those people are heartless to the point that they pay no attention to the health sector which is one of the most important sector in a country.
I see no reason for attacking him neither raining insults to him due to how he decided to cease the funding and of a true I won't be mad at him for doing that because it's someone that our country should stand and sit up to make our country a lovable and peaceably place for relaxation, including working opportunities and building more infrastructure to the nation increase employment rate reduces unemployment, I think when life is suitable for people over here I don't see any reason why traveling overseas would becomes a prayer point for almost all Nigerian.

The unfortunate truth is that many lives will be lost to the virus due to a shortage of antiretroviral drugs for those living with HIV.
Now more than ever, everyone needs to be cautious. Here are some  ways HIV can be transmitted:
does it mean that a nation that is blessed with natural resource like ours cannot fend for itself and will have to depend only on external help before they can get things done for themselves? what is the cost of the HIV vaccine that the federal government can't take care of? i did not care to go through the news but small things like being responsible for our vaccines should never be what we should be waiting for others to tell us they aren't helping us again before we can start helping ourselves.

the issue is that a lot of the people that are infected with HIV don't even know that they are infected and apart from the HIV that has become a less talked about sickness of recent, there a lot of sicknesses that have crept into the country without any name and we have spiritualized it and paid less attention to it because most of the local hospital are not well equipped to handle outbreaks that they are not familiar with. we have been sitting on a time bomb on literally all sectors.

it is just God and the fact that as Africans, we have a good immune system that has been defending us against most diseases if not, the kind of diseases most persons are suffering from without a single knowledge of is something else.

Trump stopping HIV funding in Nigeria is really  concerning, though it shouldn’t be if only our government truly cared about its people. Nigeria has the capacity to fund HIV treatment, but we all know the reality of our system.
It is nothing to beat about the bush for if we have a good system that is working as theirs in terms of leadership because it's the resources we have it in sufficient but just a lack of quality leadership to management the available resources.

Just in 2023 alone, Nigeria received about $1 billion in aids from the US, isn't that pathetic for a country that's naturally endowed with both natural and human resources to be depending on other countries for financial aids all of the time.

However, this orders by the US government under Donald Trump may seem hurting to the average person on the street  it's a wake up call for us to put our own house in order by pushing and pressing for accountability and equitable service delivery from our leaders at all levels of government.

Donald Trump had said he wants to make America great again and that's what he's fighting for. It's left for us to canvass for leaders that would work to make Nigeria great as well. Assuming Nigeria is working as well as others, who will care about what other countries like the US decides to do whit their own money?

I just feel sad for the poor people who are infected and can't afford the drugs now that Trump has stopped the fundings, I see people on the media raining insults on Trump but it's not his fault, he's putting his country first which is very important, our politicians should learn to do so as well, this should be a challenge for them to sit up but their greediness won't let them change. At this point everyone needs to be faithful to their partners and always use protective measures like latex condoms for those that got multiple partners.

Now more than ever, everyone needs to be cautious. Here are some  ways HIV can be transmitted:

1:Blood transfusion from an infected person.
2:Unprotected sexual intercourse. Always use protection, no matter how much you want to get laid.
3: Sharing sharp objects like needles and syringes.
4: Mother to child transmission during pregnancy.
I pray our government will show compassion and step in to support those affected. Until then, everyone please stay safe!
