I hold 3 ETH, 10% of a BTC and $20k in Alt (60+ diff Alts) Am I crazy? I jumped in early Sept, only 5 months ago, and while I saw the mid Nov spike, I'm down 25% overall. Should I consolidate?
To be honest, that's a lot of altcoins in your portfolio, I mean why you need 60 different alts though? why not go to 10-20 solid altcoins and remove all the meme coins and shitcoins.

Another reminder though is that we might be in for a long bear market, not scaring your or something, but you need to be prepared just in case. So most likely if you are going to hold for long term you will see your portfolio suffering and hopefully you have that mental toughness to just remain calm and hold.

You can do whatever you want. Just follow your heart and makes your own exit strategy because it's your own money.
some experts even experienced traders may have different opinions and strategy about how to ACT if the price of bitcoin will go down and if will go up.

60+ Altcoins is a big collection. what, did you buy the whole top 60 Altcoin market Huh I believe there are some that are definitely good for holding for a long time but I would suggest you can reduce those Alts collections to the best 10-15 max and consolidate on both Bitcoin and Ethereum which are usually the top buys for hodlers for the long term.
yeppp, that's a fantastic collection in my opinion. I don't know how @OP can manage an exit strategy if the market keep falling.
I'm just wondering how @OP will react if his portofolio drops by 50%

That's a lot of altcoins honestly. I would suggest to sell most of those and just stick to the few that are reliable which you think are good for long term holding if you're a holder. Remain holding those Ethereums and bitcoin that you have. Now, with the sale from those 60+ alts, you choose whether the profit shall be reinvested or consolidated into Eth or Bitcoin. But if I'm the one to decide, I'll divide it with them as I think that's much better but more with bitcoin.

Both Eth and Bitcoin does not have any problem just keep HODLing cos that is what I am doing currently with my buys also but I don't know which Alts you have invested in but nonetheless, I believe because the whole market has been in a correction for some time now, I am not really worried about my total portfolio loss cos I also believe in the Alts I have invested in too that once the market recovers, it will be good. You have to be convinced with the projects you have invested in.

Yes you have to consolidate because we are going into a bear season that many altcoins would not survive and you would not want to be holding those. Do understand that some coins were just created for speculation purposes and this coin were not meant to be held, they will die over time and keep making you lose money. Narrow down your investment to what you are interested in that is one mistake we making in this space, we invest because others are investing, it should not be so.

If you are a game lover or gamer then research on project in that section, there is a chances you could be able to spot good project because you have have interest in this area. Bitcoin and ethereum is a most keep, put large amount of money in this two and the rest should be consolidated, I can not tell you projects to hold but do some research on the project you are currently holding and you will know which is worth holding.

Holding alts like that much is quite risky in my opinion. Not all altcoins are legit, unless you only choose those projects that are good or let day listed on majority of exchange such as Binance or kucoin. I think holding is the best way to address your 25% down or cut loss those alts in the better project and hope it pumped.

You have a good entry point that's why you are in comfort zone today, if I were you I'd have take some profits and hold the big boys among the coins for long term holding, how prepared are you? I'm asking this because you can see more dip in coming months, are you ready to hold for long time? You are the master of your portfolio mate

You don't have to, because from the percentage that you have placed, I think it is very good and good as long as every Altcoin you choose is the best because many Altcoins lived in the last year due to hype, but if you choose the old Altcoins, I think that will be safe.
