Anytime a token is being sent and it goes to old contract, it simply means it has been swapped and there is a new token. Good to know that Kucoin sent back the tokens and it was swapped to the new one.

Updating:

Kucoin returned the funds to me and I was able to swap through the Crypterium app.

Thank you all for the advice!
Great to hear that. In future please make sure you keep an eye on the telegram channels of the different ICO projects that you participated in. It is somewhat your own responsibility to do this and keep yourself updated. There are other ways too like signing up for periodical newsletters and so on. Choose whichever is feasible for you.

Also lock this thread (check lower end of the webpage) because the question has been answered to prevent unnecessary posting after this.

Nowadays, projects do the token swap to kind of burn tokens of inactive members. There might be some technical reasons behind that, but not sure. This is the biggest fear that if we are holding any coin or token, we can't just sit back and relax. We have to keep ourselves updated with the projects. There are very few which keep updated every community member by all social media means. There must be a swap done and that is why the contract address is different resulting in issues with the transaction.

I had a CRPT balance on my MyEtherWallet, so I decided to transfer it to Kucoin.

After making the transfer, I realized that my tokens were in the old contract and were not credited in the exchange. I contacted Kucoin, and they asked me to resend the new CRPT contract.

How do I do that using on MEW?

What caught my attention was  the "new CRPT contract" since there is a new contract address, it means there was a token swap and you likely missed it. So to begin with, you will have to contact the team of the project and ask what your fate is or if there is any way out, so you don't end up losing everything. On a more clearer picture, this aspect of token swap is defeating the true purpose of holding any token, because when you might be unavailable for personal reasons might be when the team will carry out a token swap. The painful part of it is, in most platforms once token swap is done, there is no going back. Which is also another reason I hardly hold any new altcoin.

Try searching for CRPT swap.
If there is such a thing then you should do that.
I hope you are not late though. Most of these swaps put a deadline into when it will end.

It happened just recently with Streamity and luckily I found out about it before the deadline.
Good luck.

Better check the telegram and see if there was a swapped if there was ask if you can swapped your old token to a new one, sometimes there is a due date or an expiration, you are lucky if there is no due date, there are developers who just made a swap without informing their holders like what happened to LikerWorld, they deceived investors and bounty hunters for doing a swap without informing all the parties.

Usually if these kind of when a new contract was created, investors of the old contract are being notified and certain date are schedule because after that, the old contract are no longer used or can't be used. I'm not saying that I'm blaming the OP, but it seems he has missed the projects advise.

And in this case, the project will no longer move your old to new contract because it has expired. But you can contact the project itself and hope that you can move your old to new contract, best of luck.

That's why you really need to follow the projects in their Telegram to get as much update as you can, otherwise this kind of situations will arise on your part.

Yes it seems like there was a token swap you missed already pal, you should find the telegram group of the project and ask the admins or teams directly, there is no guarantee that the team will change the old tokens for you though, that's if you can get it back from the exchange, goodluck

It happened to me I barely missed the swap of one of the token I got from bounty campaign because I have not opened my telegram channel and I missed the swap, this is the reason why you should get an update if you are still holding any token or coin on their social media channel, sometimes these developers only update their telegram channel only.

Sounds like the token project already did a smart contract switching, you should contact the project team too to know if the old smart contract is still functioning or they can help you, I doubt if any help will be rendered though, this is why its good to follow every updates of the tokens we hold

The project team will normally have a swap page from an old contract to new, it's just you that needs to do that. Your right, OP should have followed what the team is doing before doing something to your token. As for me, I would probably ask in the telegram first who uses Kucoin to trade the token.

Coins that are created before this year are doing unusual things like going to BNB platform to be on the DEX and then change the way things after, so you better ask the community first.

I think you missed the important announcement mate after the Kucoin hacking incident Crypterium team has initiated a 1:1 CRPT swap in a new smart-contract address, here is the announcement! https://news.crypterium.com/crpt-swap-after-kucoin-hack
And for that particular reason, there's nothing you can do about it But still swapping procedures were still open for some reason. All details are written in that announcement.

You cannot do that's

Did you already try to ask some questions about the new contract token on the community group, you could be missed the swap but try first to ask on CRPT Community did the team still can do the swap.

If can, then the second step you must to do is ask kucoin to send your old token to your wallets so you can swap them. But when the team CRPT already saying they cannot do the swap anymore since you missed the swap then better to let it go.

It looks like you are missing the swap that happened recently. It's clearly stated by crypterium if this company was doing a swap through its mobile application or wallet. When you are not sending your coins to the crypterium app and your coins will not be swapped. You should contact the crypterium admin as soon as possible. Just let him know if there's a possibility for you to swap your coins when you are sending your coins to your crypterium wallet right now.
Crypterium will not be swapping CRPT tokens that being saved in other than CRPT wallet.

Are you sure that there was no token swap of Crypterium (CRPT) previously and that you may still be having the older tokens? Contact the telegram channel of CRPT here and ask if they have done anything recently.

This is where you should ask. Do not entertain any telegram PMs, fake people are rampant - https://t.me/crypterium

I sold my holding of CRPT at a profit so dont keep track of it anymore. But I believe this might be the case.
