does anyone remember the VR they had in early 90's ? you'd get into the round thing... put the headset on.. and it was like real VR stuff... well as far as VR went back then. but you moved it moved.. its just the game was pretty boring. but still amazing stuff back then!!

surprising its taken so long to come up with, well not much 20 years later....

Yeah, I definitely remember that. Funny how long ago that was too.

It just wasn't very fun. If a good company had made good games for that product who knows where we would be now.

It just goes to show how important software is.

Urgh there's too much stuff coming out lol I can't keep up with all this technological innovation.  Cheesy

Yeah, that's why i was hoping you guys could post any new technology that catches your attention so i could keep track of Science. Still, there's a lot of stuff coming out so it's kinda hard to keep track of all of it  Tongue

I also got serious motion sickness from the previous versions of VR headsets. Back in the days when Creative Labs was pioneers in the field of VR headsets.

I see, if you close one eye, it helps to over come the motion sickness, but how is that fun, playing with one eye closed.  Grin Grin

I fucking love this kind of stuff, my only worry is that facebook has bought occulus rift.

I hate the fact that Facebook bought Oculus. But there's nothing that's going to stop VR. It's coming with or without Oculus in my opinion.

Valve is working on one aren't they?

Does anybody know when Valve is going to release there version of VR? And are there any issues whit using VR's? Headaches and so on

Not sure when Valve is going to release their VR thing. Maybe at the same time they release Half Life 3? Tongue

And yeah a lot of people have problems with motion sickness I think. But I hear that companies are working on that too.

What's wrong with FB having bought Oculus Rift?

Knowing facebook they'll force you to sign in and create an account with them in order to use Occulus Rift eventually and then you'll get annoying notification spam while you're trying to play games.
Give their android app for Oculus Rift every single permission possible. Because they need to be able to track you and send SMS from your phone for your phone to connect to the device.  Roll Eyes

So I've been really exited with the new technology that has been coming out recently, but haven't had the time to look for all of it. So can you please post here about any new technology or scientific advance you find interesting just to keep track of how's humanity doing.

I found this amazing new video game technology, it's really cool. They're still developing it but it's amazing. It's called the Control VR
