What does this guy from Accerx mean by

the OP is just grabbing dramatic stories just so he can advertise "a____x" covertly

its more about writing about a controversy but mention "a____x" as much as possible to get people to search for "a____x" in the hopes it ranks up "a____x" when people try to search for more info

"Bitcoin transaction water consumption"
he is not even talking about steam generator to power asics
he is  saying about water flowing through the coolers

What's next? Bitcoin mining/transaction air consumption? The Bitcoin miners are going to consume our air so we can't breed anymore. Grin
What does this guy from Accerx mean by "Bitcoin transaction water consumption"? The water turns into steam and the steam drives the turbines, that produce electricity. After that, all this steam goes into the atmosphere and turns into clouds/rain. No water is wasted. Does this guy mean that some of the water gets polluted in the process and it's not suitable for drinking? AFAIK, there are water cleaning facilities(I don't remember their exact name in English) and they are capable of cleaning the water, so it can be good enough for drinking.
This is yet another piece of mindless FUD.

Where did he do his research? How did he find the correlation? This doesn't seem very reliable since I doubt miners run their rigs in a poor area with a scarce water supply, to begin with. Is there any data on how much water consumption for mining compared to other areas in a specific time? While I support green energy or whatever it is, the reasoning seems a bit weak if the research doesn't show more than just a hypothetical scenario.

I remember reading this headline on a popular PC news website. It does seem that people who are not familiar with crypto fall for misleading ideas like this very easily.
The reason why they do this is to generate some shock value, I mean that's already how they do their magazines and news articles, don't mind the truth as long as people are going to read a sensational story. To me, this kind of stuff should be answered directly by the people that are mining, we can always just ask them their electricity bills and then do the calculations there hell, if we're so bent on disproving this research, might as well ask every miner out there and do a statistics and average depending on the size of their mining operations.

De Vries' research suggests that the water consumption of cooling systems for mining rigs and the energy consumption of mining rigs are the main causes of large-scale water resource usage.

Some body should start some betting thread with predictions.  What is the next extremely stupid Bitcoin FUD?

the title:
bitcoin network uses more electric then 25million electric cars

the explainer:
the 2.5million asics of 3kwh(504kwh/week each asic) uses more electric then ALL the world wide 26million electric cars*
*average car does 200miles a week. 4miles/kw= 50kwh a week each car =1,300,000,000KWH all cars per week
*1,260,000,000KWH all asics per week

According to De Vries' report, the high water consumption of Bitcoin transactions could exacerbate global water scarcity issues
I also consume oxygen while spending Bitcoin.  De Vries should start studying the impact on our environment because of this too.

Never thought I would see the day they blame Bitcoin for water scarcity.  What in the world is this.  HIGH water consumption of Bitcoin Transactions?  Is it because you get hot and stressed out having to spend big amounts of Bitcoin and worrying about messing it up?  Last time I spent some Bitcoin I do not remember being asked to put a bucket of water into my phone to enable the Send button.  These 'scientists' should start looking into how Transactions actually work.

also even water evaporate(1%) still goes into the sky as vapour and eventually comes back as rain.. so again no waste
Come on franky1.  Why are you so ignorant and selfish?  Clearly the main cause of water scarcity in Africa began from your Bitcoin usage.   Also, every body knows water turns into void after evaporating.  Who are you lying to?

NO SHITCOIN INSIDE
De Vries said bitcoin mining would match the entire world's power consumption by 2020!

He also said bitcoin's major energy source is coal, which is another falsehood. It's hydro not coal.

This "data scientist" seems  not very good at what he does.

water consumption per transaction.... pfft

i dont think the data scientists knows his science of data

first of all mining has nothing to do with amount of transactions..
asics do not even touch the transaction data.. they just hash a header whether a block has no transactions or thousands. asic power has no relevance on transaction numbers

secondly the hash does not just protect that block. but also adds extra protection to all previous blocks too. (confirmation depth)

also water cooling flows through and drains out. so its not like the asics are actually using up a swimming pool per transaction
the water loss is minimal. 99% goes back into the environment via plumbing

also even water evaporate(1%) still goes into the sky as vapour and eventually comes back as rain.. so again no waste

the better argument is
asics HEAT a swimming pool/lake/stream/river

Recently, Alex De Vries, a data scientist at the Dutch National Bank, published a study on the water consumption of Bitcoin transactions, stating that the amount of water consumed per Bitcoin transaction is enough to fill a small swimming pool. This finding highlights the potential environmental impact of Bitcoin mining, particularly in terms of water resource consumption. De Vries' research suggests that the water consumption of cooling systems for mining rigs and the energy consumption of mining rigs are the main causes of large-scale water resource usage.

As a responsible digital asset trading platform, Accerx is highly concerned about the environmental impact of Bitcoin mining activities. Accerx believes that although the Bitcoin network provides an innovative decentralized payment method, the challenges it poses in terms of energy consumption and environmental impact cannot be ignored. Accerx supports and encourages the adoption of more environmentally friendly mining methods, including the use of renewable energy and improving the energy efficiency of mining rigs.

According to De Vries' report, the high water consumption of Bitcoin transactions could exacerbate global water scarcity issues, especially in areas where water resources are already scarce. This issue may lead to further public and regulatory scrutiny of cryptocurrency mining activities, potentially resulting in new regulatory measures or policy changes. Accerx closely monitors this trend in order to provide users with the latest market information and compliance advice.

Given the environmental impact of Bitcoin transactions, Accerx advises its users to consider the environmental factors of cryptocurrency investments. Accerx encourages users to support cryptocurrency projects that adopt environmentally friendly mining methods to promote the sustainable development of the industry as a whole. Additionally, Accerx provides users with relevant options for environmentally friendly investments and information resources to help them make more environmentally conscious investment decisions.

Accerx is committed to being a responsible and sustainable digital asset trading platform. Accerx is actively exploring ways to reduce the environmental impact of its operational activities and considering the introduction of more environmentally friendly and sustainable investment products and services. Accerx also plans to collaborate with environmental organizations to support various environmental projects and initiatives aimed at reducing the impact of the cryptocurrency industry on the environment.

The controversy surrounding the water consumption issue in Bitcoin transactions serves as a reminder for participants in the cryptocurrency market to pay attention to their environmental impact. Through its professional market analysis, environmentally friendly investment advice, and commitment to sustainable development, Accerx is dedicated to playing an active role in driving the cryptocurrency industry towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable direction. In the future, Accerx will continue to strive to provide users with a secure, responsible, and environmentally friendly trading environment.
