Wirex -  Is the best to use in the UK get yourself a card load your coins and spend.

They also accept altcoins that I see as a bonus ball!

I am getting problems with buying Bitcoins in the UK  thanks to Barclays bank.  They keep on canceling the transaction. I then get phonecalls from the bank telling me that its fraud prevention.  Im not sure the banks here in the UK like Bitcoin very much and are making it diffcult to sell and buy

Oh sorry, I didn't know it is 2% for GBP as I use Eur.

No worries. EUR does seem a lot easier!

try to sell your concurrences on localbitcoins cause that is a better way and no fees. if you find a good client and can see in person then you can transfer it wallet to wallet manually // or sell it in person and get direct cash money ..

There are only 3-4 places for GBP withdrawals. With Coinsbank and Coinfloor there is also Bitwala https://www.bitwala.com/transfers/ You will receive the transfer up to 3 business days (They usually send it the same day) with a 0.5% fee. There is a verification needed and the company is efficient with their service

Thanks for that. Unfortunately with Bitwala the 0.5% fee is for Euros, GPB is 2.10% (min. £6) according to their website.

Coinsbank seems to be SEPA (which is what I want to avoid) or a card, which has an upfront cost. I'll check Coinfloor out later, as their website doesn't seem to be playing ball at the moment.

You have Coinsbank and Coinfloor as alternatives with BTC/GBP. I'm not sure about the withdrawal limits though.

There is plenty of information about on how to buy bitcoin, but I've struggled to find anything about how to convert it back to GBP efficiently.

For example, even before Coinbase put delays on SEPA withdrawals €1,000 it wasn't a particularly efficient way, as you are at the will of banks and their choice of € to £ conversion rate, not to mention high fees on top.

So, say I had 0.1btc in a wallet on my computer, what would be the most efficient way to convert it back to GBP in my bank account within a few days?
