Sure. I'm also looking for real trusted sites that I can rely upon. There are quite some alternatives better than Skype. Open source and encrypted data are good ideas for me to consider, though.

Has anyone used https://subrosa.io? Seems a lot better than skype, it's open source and encrypted. They got a 6/7 score by the EFF.

Micro$oft is getting more intrusive with Windows 10 going to upload your local files to their servers unless you opt out, their bitlocker encryption saves the keys with microsoft..
