It seems likely you are running in the the Ubuntu BUG in one version where xorg.conf gets DELETED at bootup - the real workaround is to add " NOGPUMANAGER" to your grub startup line in /etc/default/grub then update grub.

Hi guys,

everytime, when I set Coolbits (for Nvidia tuning) at the /etc/X11/xconf.org it working only to the next restart!

I used:
  1) classic way via add colbits via VIM to Display section
  2) via "sudo nvidia-xconfig --cool-bits=28"

And colbit setting survive in the "xconf.org" only to the next restart, when is everytime "xconf.org" replaced with some other default.

Dont know what to do, I watched almost 20 youtube videos about coolbits, read tens of web pages.

Question:
How you doing to be Coolbits in the "/etc/X11/xconf.org" config permanent?

Code:
chmod 444
chattr +i
