Not sure I'm comfortable giving away the bitcoin based of a comment. I'd rather see a legit active address that has a cool vanity and I will reward them.

It's perfect for baby car seat manufacturer or Spanish automobile manufacturer and would take 27,000 years for 50% chance to find another one on my laptop.
I have no use for the address (other than showing off), and it's going to be a lot of work to dig up the private key again but I should still have it.

Yep, I knew that and although I wrote "a list of vanity addresses, mine and others'" you're right: this may indeed need to be emphasized more. The owner of the vanity address will actually win that money.

Guys this is giveaway for 20$ for cool vanity address... not proposition of a risky deal. What you have to lose? If you are already using cool vanity address post it here and maybe you will win. In the worst case scenario OP will leave without picking winner. I don't think that escrow for 20$ is something necessary in here. Its made for fun - at least that's how i see it.

Try to have some rules to be followed like who will be the one to join because if most or all will join especially newbies (not that condemning them) maybe we could observe multiple accounts that may come in just for this 20 usd (not that surprising). Try to limit it I guess like merit received in the past 120 days or higher accounts that was active in the past 7 days, something like that, lastly, put it in an escrow better use lightning network so fee isn't that much. Likely this will be moved to Games and Rounds, just my two cents.

Or can I come with a list of vanity addresses, mine and others'? How big that list can be?
Also I see no deadline for the entries.

All in all, I am not convinced that OP really wanted a proper contest. If he really wants that, he has to put more effort into the topic and into organizing it.

Considering there was great confusion or suggestions to make this a better competition.

The winner will be chosen by the 15th of January. 3pm pst.

1. Must be a vanity address
2. Must be actively used , or currently holding btc since december 1st minimum.
3. Must be your vanity address
4. 1 address can be submitted. If you submit more then 1 address you auto magically cannot win. Exceptions are made for anyone who's already submitted.
