You need to ensure that the image file extension is present when adding your IMG BB Code.

e.g.

Code:
[img]https://image.com/image.png[/img], not [img]https://image.com/image[/img]

You may need to right click, copy image location to get the full URL of the image.

In addition to everything that has been said, there is a restriction to 2 MB size for the forum proxy, if I remember correctly.
BTW, be sure that your image link always ends with .jpg, .gif or .png . This is not a regular forum like the others. Wink

If you want, you can test everything in the Archival section :  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=59.0

Thanks for your help.
I totally forgot about the 2MB thing.
My BBCode on this post was a copy/paste of the message I sent to myself.

I'm certain though it's an account restriction, as I can't do other stuff (like change font size) as well.
The preview works perfect but it just doesn't execute in the message after its sent.

Make sure that the link of the image that you are trying to post or to show end with the right file extensions such as .img, .png, .gif and other image formats. Example link of the image i'm trying to add in Bbcodes would be like this "imagelink.png" then the image will be seeb or working fine. If the link you are using doesn't end in image format then you can only see "ERROR" when posted.

(But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.)

I think that copper membership may still have the image limitations at PM sending, not only the limits clearly written by Theymos.

hmm, thanks man!

I see them properly.

Yeah, I just edited the post explaining it works here but not in a personal message to myself.
You know why?

My copper account is having issues uploading images. Example Below:

I have directly copied and pasted the BBCode from the site.
When I use preview, the images are displayed as usual, no hyperlink text.
However, once posted they just revert to hyperlink like this.

I have tried 3 separate sites; imgur, ibb, and postimage.org all with the same phenomenon.

Is this a glitch or am I actually making a mistake here somewhere?

...........

Wow, before I was sending a message to myself. Seems to work fine when out in public...

SO, then. In the past, I have sent a message to myself with images in it to verify that it will display as intended.
On this account I cannot send an image to myself. I have tried about 20 BBCode images so far.

Why would I be able to do it previously but not now?
