Miners and anything you get via shipping from China is pretty much considered safe. Remember, this is called AIDS-FLU, just like HIV, it cannot survive out of your body for a long time.
I haven't heard it called this but damn is it catchy no pun intended.

Read this:

Thai doctors have been using a cocktail of flu and HIV drugs to treat coronavirus cases
Quote
•A combination of flu and HIV medications are helping treat severe cases of the new coronavirus, Thai doctors said.

•Chinese health officials have already been administering the HIV and flu drugs to fight the coronavirus, but the combination of the three together in a cocktail seemed to improve the treatment.

It is damn catchy indeed.

And the bad thing is if the machines are infected with coronavirus?

I wouldn't worry about that. Cheesy The infection is only known to spread from living host to living host -- human-to-human or animal-to-human. Scientists Link China Coronavirus to Intersection of Humans and Wildlife

Freaky stuff, though...

In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of 2019-nCoV associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of 2019-nCoV in the United States associated with imported goods.

Hello

I bought couple of miners on 31 of Jan and they still didn't ship out so I contacted bitmain and they said
"due to the influence the coronavirus, we will handle the refund after 2.10, please wait patiently, thanks."

so did they stopped shipping or what ?
does anyone else have their miners shipped this week?

Definitely because of that epidemic do happen to that country. Its understandable that it would really be postponed or delays on operation due to this issue.
On talks of goods came from China then i dont think that certain virus would really be transferred so its totally irrelevant on such presumption.
This doesnt only affect solely on Bitmain but also on other big companies as well. For now you wont have any choice but to wait up for that refund.

They are Beijing based and the lock down is happening in Wuhan and Hubei sounds not a valid reason not to ship maybe their production is based on one province that is hit by the Corona Virus i hope this epidemic stop and we can all go back to our normal life soon this menace will have an impact in the market if we cannot stop it.

Virus can survive for a few hours or a day without any living body but imported goods normally take a week or so to reach the destination so there is no harm from purchasing anything from China.

Imported goods from China should not carry infectious strains of the virus, especially given that most coronaviruses can survive on surfaces for only a matter of hours, Messonnier said on Monday (Jan. 27). "There's no evidence to support the transmission of this virus through imported goods,"

Yes, they should be affected by this coronavirus outbreak since their factory location is located in China Beijing.

And not only Bitmain will stop or will be delay sending miners to customers.

Someone says that the shipment on the US and Canada will be delay around 8 to 14 days and EU and UK around 7 to 12 days.

There were delays from Chinese New Year too. They cancelled your order and giving you a refund now?
