As a person part of a team that are finishing final stages of our digital currency i would say like others before me. Do not do ICO, if you realy have a good project , tech and roadmap then  go directly to exchangers. That is what we are going to do

Apart from that the airdrop to members idea is also greate

I am trying to launch a coin.

My question for the members of this community is this

Does it make more sense to do a ICO or to take a 15%-20% premie and sell them as you need funds for the project.  It seems one can't go right.  You have a ICO and people roll their eyes, you do a premie and people call pump and dump.

What is the best way if you want to further develop your coin

Thank you all.

The best way to launch a coin in my opinion is through airdrop select trusted members of this community to participate to the development of your coin, ico has a bad reputation and for good reasons so stay away from launching an ico if you cannot offer good features of your coin or do not have usage of your coins.

If the developer is looking to stick to the project for long term Airdrop is a great way even when some people dump. The price of community that Airdrop will generate for you, you can't add value to it in monetary terms and this is very essential to drive the price up n future

I think that this could be a good option!

I myself suggest you to start ICO . Since it is reality that most of the ICO are the way to steal the money of the investor but we should not forget here the most of the ICO algorithm gives a better profit for us if we invest in better altcoin ICO .
Here you just need to do some better than what is with already exists altcoins Because with a simple idea in the altcoins will not attract the investor in your altcoin ICO and will result into less profitable of died altcoin launching .

A pre-mine at least shows that you are vested in the project for the medium term (as long as you don't exit fully), Plus if the project really takes off, you don't have to sell the entire stash of pre-mined coins that yo have.

All I know is the ICO process takes more time and more effort to get set up.  Then you have to prove your idea to get people to buy into it.

Some coins made payment to fixed address in every blocks. ppl dont like this too, but you can base this: you can get this payment in every X block: one a day/week/month/etc.

The best way, IMO, to is to do a lot of coding first, get the coin part way up to speed on your own dollar and sweat, then build in a treasury system to the coin (ie, Dash, Decred or PIVX and others) and then hope people vote for your proposals to continue to develop the coin.
