Imagine McDoanalds launched its own crypto currency. Let's call it Mac.

With every meal served they would give away one Mac. Next time you order you could spend the Mac to get a 10% discount. To use Macs you'd need a smarthphone wallet just as with bitcoin.

This would go on for a few months and soon hundreds of millions of people would be using Macs. Teenagers in particular would find new uses of this coin ,,, and voila ... another digital currency would rule the world?

Possible?

Note: The idea is that a broad initial distribution will give the altcoin a larger userbase than bitcoin has. It can be done by an international company, a government or even by a small group who finds a clever of way of distributing coins.


 

That is a good idea, only if they are created by McDonald and not someone else. They could even come out something cool like free ice cream if you buy it with mac coin...
