It is a typical Chinese scam.

Many Chinese respect no god but science.
So Chinese scammers often use scientific and technological words including nanomaterial.

I do not set aside the angle where the pandemic was a pe-meditated but I think that is too far-fetch right now because there is no such news report that are going around about that, what I think is that we should atleast support the people that combats the pandemic and do not be part of the problem.

There are also conspiracy theories and rumours roaming in social media that some whistle blowers in china said that it's a virus manufactured by the Chinese government to use in Biological warfare.
We can't really know for sure but there are also news in China that even if the world is battling the coronavirus threat. The chinese army are doing military exercises and expanding their territory.

Something might be waiting to be unfolded, we'll know soon enough, if this conspiracies are true.

There is not much to learn from the article you provided.
...

The thing I learned is that MSN writers cannot even get the commas right in a number, and it gets past their editors.  Incredible!  I had double and triple check the https lock to see if this wasn't a fake website or something.

That's the reason I posted it, for others to read and maybe make out something from it, and to find out if anyone else has seen it on another media outlet, I didn't tag it a confirmed information, though that doesn't make it false.
Premeditated by the Chinese government? It's hard to think that they would resort to infecting their citizens and the rest of the world resulting to thousands of deaths and sacrifice their economy to accomplish whatever goal they have if this was all planned beforehand.
Very hard for me to believe also, it's open for discussions, with how devastating the effects of this virus has been, nothing becomes unbelievable, everything is just speculations though, the origin and now the supposed cure, I'm not saying the Chinese government made this, it will be crazy to make such accusations looking at how many lives have been lost.

There are so many articles discussing the same but not even one mentioned what kind of nanomaterial they are talking about here. Is it proprietary that they can't disclose it to public? Because if they found this cure already, we will see that they will be in mass production in the next coming months. But in what form? They will mix it with the medicine? And how much this would be? Pretty interesting to follow about this progress. But I don't believe that it is premeditated by the Chinese.

It's also unlikely to me that they would aim for world domination by paralyzing the economies of all countries on earth. They are already on top and don't need to kill or go to war with other countries like what USA do.

Yesterday it was reported that a group of scientists in China may have developed a nanomaterial that can combat and absorb the effect of Covid-19 on its victims, with a success rate of over 98%. I do not know how efficient it is or how true the information is, but If it's true, it's looking somewhat premeditated, like a "grand plan".

Quote
A team of Chinese scientists have reportedly developed a novel way to combat the new coronavirus COVID-19 disease which has killed over 32,000 people globally. According to a report by Global Times, the new weapon is not a drug or a compound but some nanomaterial...
"Chinese scientists have developed a new weapon to combat the #coronavirus," the news portal tweeted on Sunday. "They say they have found a nanomaterial that can absorb and deactivate the virus with 96.5-99.9 per cent efficiency," it added.
