If this was politics.... and believe me, it is... We just saw a new party being created, by the people who walked away from the governing party. The country still exist, but it's

just a political fight to see who will rule the country. So the politicians make big promises and use sneaky tactics to get to the top. The only strange thing is... the new

party is saying.... "When we come in, we will be dictators" .... Would you vote for such a party? I will not.... They also say... "We will implement changes for the government to

spy on you and also something to exclude some people from doing some things" .... WTF is that what 25% of this community wants? Do they live in Zimbabwe?

The country will still be there... after the fight is over... Well, what is left of it...  Huh

Everyone seems to be pretty worried about the most recent discussion over the bitcoin protocol.

could this be the end for Bitcoin?

Not to fear, it's not the end. As long as people want to use bitcoin for currency, there will be bitcoin. The uproar is because all this change is happening without the majority of users having a say in it, which sounds an a lot like the fiat system we all know.

There's also a lot of confusion about what the change means. Some people have been writing that they'll be issued new bitcoins from XT!? That's not the case...

Here's a great article from Coindesk that summarizes what's going on pretty well: http://www.coindesk.com/what-is-the-bitcoin-block-size-debate-and-why-does-it-matter/

And this comment...
Now the support to Bitcoin XT is going down.  So there is no problem for the Bitcoin in near future.

Is completely false. The support for Bitcoin XT is not going down...it's growing.

Before Bitcoin XT fork hit, Bitcoin users made maximum damage with the fears on XT Fork.

Now the support to Bitcoin XT is going down.  So there is no problem for the Bitcoin in near future.

Bitcoin will only be a history in the far future. When there is another new technology to replace the current crypt and blockchain technology. This will not be ending Bitcoin as Bitcoin have a strong community backing up. Smiley.

Does anyone have any idea of how the miners will react and if there is a big chance that they will show their support in favor of the fork?

No we are not at the end or anywhere near the end of Bitcoin, we (Bitcoin) is in its infancey and as we should all know from growing up,"well some of us" it is not always a smooth ride and there are some times that things need to be worked on to become the people we were meant to be. This drama will get sorted and Bitcoin will go on, many will get scared and drop out but this will continue.

As long as there is fuss around bitcoin, it will most definetly not die. The good thing about this is that now a lot of people are sharing and having opinions about
how bitcoin should evolve. The only problem is that there is no consensus, meaning that everyone is shooting up ideas and dividing once unified community.

It's either that or someone's playing the old "divide and conquer" with us, but either way, bitcoin is far from dying.

Oh god, not more fud.  The fork can have a minimal impact, if we let it.  But we can also destroy bitcoin if we want, and we don't need the fork to do that.

This will not be the end of Bitcoin and it will for sure not be the last drama we'll have. We are bound to encounter more speedbump is the road ahead as bitcoin evolves and adapts to circumstances.

I know that for many, me included, this whole drama going on now might not be nice and it might make many negative towards the future of bitcoin. However, just look at what's going on the fiat environment and then consider that it has been around for decades in its current form. Its a complete mess, or maybe I should rather say complete chaos.

What bitcoin is going through now is nothing compared to the fiat system which is bordering on collapse.

Well if Bitcoin cannot solve this problem successfully, then it probably doesn't need to exist. I believe in Bitcoin technology, so I also believe that Bitcoin and the Bitcoin community will solve this problem. At the end, community will be stronger anf we will be able to build and progress on the top of that.

So to answer your question directly, no this is not an end!

Definitely not the end. We are just at the beginning... That's why we have discussions on how to improve Wink If we were at the end, most of the rough edges would probably already be treated
