From my understanding USB-C is very versatile and have many different types of USB specifications. USB 3.1, will use the USB-C design, which I'm reading that can provide 100watts of power. The typical PCIe riser uses anywhere from 50-75watts of power, provided by a 6-pin, SATA connector (for those brave souls that dare), or a 4-pin molex. Now if risers use USB 3.1, does that mean the need for a secondary power cable to risers wouldn't be necessary anymore? Wouldn't that be a lovely thing? Because fuck wire management. Some have a natural knack for it, but definitely not me.

yes it may but  that belongs in alt coin as gpu mining is an alt coin topic.
